4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Charging the Alarm Unit

Before first use, fully charge the alarm unit. The unit is powered by a built-in rechargeable lithium battery.

  1. Locate the USB-C charging port on the alarm unit.
  2. Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the alarm unit.
  3. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to a DC5V power adapter (not included) or a compatible USB power source.

4.2 Installation Methods

The WSDCAM alarm offers three primary installation methods to suit various mounting surfaces and preferences:

  1. Bracket Installation:

    This method is ideal for handlebars, seat posts, or other cylindrical objects. It allows for easy removal and re-installation.

    • Attach the mounting bracket to the desired location using the provided screws. Ensure it is securely fastened.
    • Align the screw holes on the alarm unit with the bracket.
    • Twist the alarm unit onto the bracket until it locks securely in place.
  2. Zip Ties Installation:

    Suitable for irregular mounting objects or areas where a bracket cannot be used.

    • Position the alarm unit on the desired surface.
    • Thread the provided cable ties through the designated slots on the alarm unit and around the mounting object.
    • Pull the zip ties tight to secure the alarm unit firmly. Trim any excess tie length.
  3. Double-sided Tape Installation:

    Best for flat, clean surfaces where a discreet or permanent attachment is desired.

    • Clean the mounting surface thoroughly to ensure it is free of dust and grease.
    • Peel off one side of the protective backing from the double-sided tape and apply it to the back of the alarm unit.
    • Peel off the remaining protective backing and firmly press the alarm unit onto the desired surface for at least 30 seconds.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Remote Control Functions

The remote control allows for convenient operation of the alarm system from a distance.

  4. Once you reach the desired sensitivity level, stop pressing the button. The alarm will automatically save the setting after a few seconds of inactivity.

5.3 Adjusting Volume

The alarm has 3 levels of adjustable volume (Low, Medium, High).

  1. Ensure the alarm is disarmed.
  2. Press and hold the 🔓 (Unlock) button on the remote control until you hear a "Di" sound.
  3. Each subsequent press of the 🔓 (Unlock) button will cycle through the 3 volume levels.
  4. Once you reach the desired volume level, stop pressing the button. The alarm will automatically save the setting after a few seconds of inactivity.

6. Maintenance

  • Recharging: Recharge the alarm unit when the battery is low. A low battery indicator may be present (refer to product specifications for details). Use only the provided USB-C cable and a DC5V power adapter for charging.
