2. Attaching the iPad and Keyboard
The Dracool Keyboard Case features a two-part design: a protective back panel for your iPad and a detachable keyboard. The back panel magnetically attaches to your iPad, and the keyboard then magnetically connects to the back panel.
- Place your iPad into the protective back panel. Ensure it is securely seated.
- Align the keyboard with the bottom edge of the iPad's back panel. The magnets will automatically snap the keyboard into place.
3. Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure the keyboard is charged.
- Turn on the keyboard by sliding the power switch to the 'ON' position. The Bluetooth indicator light will start blinking, indicating it's in pairing mode.
- On your iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
- Turn on Bluetooth. Your iPad will search for available devices.
- Select "Dracool Keyboard" from the list of devices.
- Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator light on the keyboard will stop blinking and remain solid for a few seconds before turning off. The keyboard is now connected and ready for use.

Troubleshooting
Keyboard Not Connecting via Bluetooth
- Ensure the keyboard is charged and turned on.
- Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your iPad.
- Try unpairing and re-pairing the keyboard: Go to iPad Settings > Bluetooth, tap the "i" icon next to "Dracool Keyboard", then select "Forget This Device". Repeat the pairing steps.
- Restart both your iPad and the keyboard.
- Ensure the keyboard is within the effective Bluetooth range (typically 10 meters).
Incorrect Key Output / Special Characters Not Working
If certain keys, especially special characters like '@', 'Ñ', or accented vowels, do not produce the expected output, the keyboard layout setting on your iPad may not match the physical keyboard's layout.
- On your iPad, go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Hardware Keyboard.
- Check the listed keyboard layout. If it's incorrect (e.g., set to English (US) for a Spanish keyboard), tap on it and select the appropriate layout (e.g., Spanish (Spain) or Spanish (Latin America)).
- For common special characters on a Spanish layout:
- @ (at symbol): Usually Alt Gr + 2 or Option + 2.
- Ñ (enye): Typically a dedicated key to the right of 'L'.
- Accents (á, é, í, ó, ú): Press the accent key (often next to 'P' or 'Ñ') then the vowel.
- ¿ (inverted question mark): Usually Shift + Alt Gr + ? or Shift + Option + ?.
- ¡ (inverted exclamation mark): Usually Shift + Alt Gr + ! or Shift + Option + !.
- If the issue persists, try resetting your iPad's keyboard dictionary (Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Reset > Reset Keyboard Dictionary).
Trackpad Not Responding
- Ensure the keyboard is connected via Bluetooth.
- Check iPad settings: Go to Settings > General > Trackpad & Mouse. Ensure "Trackpad" is enabled.
- Clean the trackpad surface to remove any dirt or debris.
- Restart the keyboard and iPad.
