3. Setup Guide

3.1 Inserting the Micro SD Card

Before first use, insert a high-speed Micro SD card (Class 10, U3, A2 Speed, up to 256GB recommended) into the Micro SD Card Slot on the side of the dash cam. Ensure the card is inserted correctly until it clicks into place.

3.2 Mounting the Dash Cam

Clean the windshield area where you intend to mount the dash cam. Apply an electrostatic sticker to the windshield, then attach the dash cam's sticky pad mount to the electrostatic sticker. This allows for easy removal without leaving residue. Adjust the camera lens to ensure optimal viewing of the road ahead.

3.3 Connecting Power

Connect the 12ft power supply cable to the Mini USB port on the dash cam and plug the car charger into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Route the cable neatly to avoid obstructing your view or interfering with driving controls.

4. Operation

4.1 Recording Modes

The dash cam automatically begins recording when powered on. It supports 4K (2880x2160P) and 2K (2560x1440P) resolutions. The recording LED indicator will illuminate when recording is active.

4.2 Super Night Vision with WDR

The dash camera utilizes Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology and an F1.8 aperture lens to enhance visibility and capture clear details during nighttime driving or in low-light conditions. This improves recording quality in challenging lighting environments.

4.3 Built-in WiFi and AZDOME App

Connect the dash cam to the 'AZDOME App' on your iOS or Android device via built-in WiFi. This allows for live view, video playback, downloading, and management of recordings directly from your smartphone. You can also share travel moments with friends and family.

4.4 G-Sensor Emergency Lock

The G-sensor automatically detects sudden impacts or collisions. When activated, it locks the current video segment, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. This ensures critical incident footage is preserved.

4.5 Loop Recording

The dash cam records in continuous loops (e.g., 1/3/5 minute segments). When the memory card is full, the oldest unlocked video files are automatically overwritten to make space for new recordings. Both G-sensor locked files and loop recording ensure continuous operation.

4.6 24 Hours Parking Monitoring

When the vehicle is parked, the dash cam can automatically record important events if it detects an impact. This feature provides peace of mind by monitoring your vehicle even when you are away. Note: For continuous 24-hour parking mode, an additional hardwire kit (ASIN: B096G6FKZP) is required and sold separately.

4.8 Adjustable Rotating Lens & Detachable Design

4.9 Super Capacitor for Durability

The AZDOME M63 Lite uses a super capacitor instead of a traditional battery, providing enhanced durability and reliability. This allows the dash cam to operate stably in extreme temperatures, from -4°F (-20°C) to 158°F (70°C).

5. Maintenance

  • Clean the Lens: Regularly clean the camera lens with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear recording quality.
  • Format SD Card: It is recommended to format the Micro SD card monthly to prevent data corruption and ensure optimal performance. Format the card directly through the dash cam's settings.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the AZDOME official website periodically for any available firmware updates to improve performance and add new features.
  • Storage Conditions: When not in use for extended periods, store the dash cam in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Dash Cam Not Turning On: Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the dash cam and the car charger, and that the car charger is properly inserted into the vehicle's power outlet. Check the vehicle's fuse for the power outlet.
  • Recording Stops or Freezes: This often indicates an issue with the Micro SD card. Try formatting the card in the dash cam. If the problem persists, replace the SD card with a new, high-speed (Class 10, U3, A2) card from a reputable brand.
  • Poor Video Quality: Clean the camera lens. Ensure the protective film has been removed from the lens. Check the video resolution settings in the dash cam menu or via the app.
  • WiFi Connection Issues: Ensure the AZDOME App is updated to the latest version. Restart both the dash cam and your smartphone. Try reconnecting to the dash cam's WiFi network.
  • G-Sensor Too Sensitive/Not Sensitive Enough: Adjust the G-sensor sensitivity setting in the dash cam's menu. Lower sensitivity for fewer false positives, higher for more detection.
