Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper maintenance and cleaning will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your food processor.

  • Always unplug the motor base before cleaning.
  • All removable parts, including the processing bowl, lid, blade assemblies, and disc, are BPA-free and dishwasher safe. Place them on the top rack of your dishwasher.
  • For quick cleaning, add warm water and 1-2 drops of dish soap to the processing bowl. Secure the lid and run the unit on the PULSE setting for a few seconds. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Wipe the motor base with a clean, damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid.
  • Store the food processor with the blades and discs safely stored within the bowl or in a designated storage area.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your food processor, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Unit does not turn on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Verify that the processing bowl and lid are correctly assembled and locked into place. The unit has safety interlocks that prevent operation if not properly assembled.
  • Ingredients are not processing evenly: For best results, ensure ingredients are cut into uniform, smaller pieces before processing. Use the PULSE function for better control over chopping and to redistribute ingredients. Do not overload the bowl.
  • Motor seems strained or unit stops during operation: This may indicate an overload. Unplug the unit, remove some ingredients, and allow the motor to cool down for a few minutes before resuming. Process in smaller batches.
  • Lid is difficult to remove or attach: Ensure the unit is unplugged. Check for any food debris obstructing the locking mechanism. Apply gentle pressure and twist to lock/unlock.
