2. Safety Information

4. Setup and Assembly
Your HITWAY BK16 Electric Bike comes partially assembled. Follow these steps to complete the assembly process.

- Handlebar Installation: Attach the handlebar to the stem, ensuring it is centered and tightened securely.
- Front Wheel Installation: Install the front wheel, ensuring the disc brake rotor aligns correctly with the caliper.
- Pedal Installation: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. Thread them into the crank arms carefully. The left pedal tightens counter-clockwise, and the right pedal tightens clockwise.
- Seat Post Adjustment: Insert the seat post into the frame and adjust the height to a comfortable riding position. Secure the quick-release lever.
- Battery Installation: Insert the fully charged battery into its compartment on the frame and lock it securely with the key.
- Pre-Ride Checks: Before your first ride, double-check all bolts and quick releases for tightness. Ensure tires are inflated to the recommended pressure.
You can assemble the bike using the videos and quick operation guides published by HITWAY. A protective plastic clip may be included on the unassembled bicycle; this has no other purpose and can be discarded after use.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Charging the Battery
The 48V 18Ah 21700 Li-ion battery provides a range of 55-80KM. A full charge takes approximately 7-8 hours.

- Locate the charging port on the bike or remove the battery for off-bike charging.
- Connect the charger to the battery charging port.
- Plug the charger into a standard power outlet.

- Once fully charged, disconnect the charger from the outlet and then from the battery.
