1. Product Overview

3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Battery Installation

The sensor comes with a pre-installed CR2032 battery. Before first use, you may need to remove a small insulation film. The sensor features a tool-free battery replacement design.

  1. Locate the battery cover on the back of the sensor.
  2. Twist the cover counter-clockwise to open.
  3. Remove any protective film from the battery (if present).
  4. Insert the CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing upwards.
  5. Replace the cover and twist clockwise to secure it.

3.2 Mounting the Sensor

The BK9C Cadence Sensor is designed for easy, magnet-free installation on your bike's crank arm.

  1. Identify a suitable flat section on your bike's crank arm.
  2. Use the provided rubber band or strap to securely attach the sensor to the crank arm. Ensure the sensor is firmly in place and will not interfere with pedaling or other bike components.
  3. The sensor should be positioned so it can detect the rotation of the crank arm.

3.3 Pairing with Devices and Apps

The BK9C sensor supports both Bluetooth 5.0 and ANT+ for wide compatibility.

  1. Activate the Sensor: Rotate the crank arm a few times to wake up the sensor. The LED indicator on the sensor will flash, indicating it is active and discoverable.

  5. Connect/Pair: Select the BK9C sensor to establish a connection. Once connected, the app or device will display 'Connected' or a similar status.

Important Note for Wahoo App Users: The Wahoo app may not allow pairing with two sensors from other brands simultaneously. If you experience issues, try pairing only the BK9C sensor.

4. Operating Instructions

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Replacement

The COOSPO BK9C Cadence Sensor offers approximately 300 hours of battery life with a CR2032 coin cell battery. When the battery is low, the sensor's LED indicator may change or your connected device may show a low battery warning. Replace the battery following the steps in Section 3.1.

5.2 Cleaning and Storage

The sensor has an IP67 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected against dust and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. However, avoid high-pressure cleaning or prolonged soaking.

  • Sensor not connecting:
    • Ensure the sensor is awake by rotating the crank arm a few times.
    • Check if Bluetooth/ANT+ is enabled on your receiving device.

    • Move closer to the sensor with your receiving device.
    • Try restarting your receiving device or cycling app.
  • Inaccurate cadence readings:
    • Ensure the sensor is securely mounted on the crank arm and not moving or shifting during your ride.

  • Wahoo App pairing issues:
    • The Wahoo app may have limitations on pairing multiple third-party sensors. Try pairing only the BK9C sensor if you are experiencing issues with other sensors connected.
