4.1 Connecting the Controller

  1. Power Connection: If not using PoE, connect the included power adapter to the DC 12V input port on the rear of the controller and plug it into a power outlet.
  2. Network Connection (PoE Recommended): Connect an Ethernet cable from the LAN (PoE) port on the controller to a PoE-enabled network switch or router. This single connection provides both power and network communication to the controller.

  3. Serial Connections (Optional): For cameras supporting RS232, RS422, or RS485, connect the appropriate serial cables from the controller's RS-232 or RS-422/485 interface to your cameras.
