1. Overview

The iDOO 5-Pod Mini Hydroponics Growing System is designed for indoor cultivation of herbs, vegetables, and sprouts. This compact system allows for year-round planting and harvesting, utilizing a full-spectrum LED grow light, an automatic timer, and a built-in water pump to create an optimal growing environment.

3. Setup

1. Assemble the Unit:

   Place the main reservoir unit on a stable, flat surface. Insert the adjustable light pole into the designated slot on the reservoir. Connect the LED grow light panel to the top of the pole.

2. Prepare Seeds and Sponges:

   Soak your chosen seeds for 6-12 hours before planting. Insert the grow sponges into the grow baskets. Place 2-3 seeds into the hole of each grow sponge. If using the sprouter tray, spread seeds evenly on the tray.

3. Place Grow Baskets/Tray:

   Insert the grow baskets into the openings on the top deck of the reservoir. If not all pods are used, cover empty slots with pod spacers to prevent algae growth and water evaporation. If using the sprouter tray, place it on top of the reservoir.
4. Add Water and Nutrients:

   Fill the reservoir with clean water up to the "MAX" line (3.0L). Add the appropriate amount of A&B Nutrient Solution according to the user manual's guidelines (typically 15ml of each for 3L of water). Shake the nutrient bottles well before adding. The water level indicator on the front of the unit helps monitor the water volume.

5. Connect Power:

   Plug the power adapter into the back of the unit and then into a power outlet. The system will automatically initiate its default lighting cycle.

4. Operation

4.1. LED Grow Light & Timer

The full-spectrum LED grow light operates on an automatic timer, providing 15 hours of light followed by 9 hours of darkness. This cycle is optimized for plant growth. The light height can be adjusted up to 11.81 inches as plants grow taller.

4.2. Grow Modes

The system offers two distinct grow modes to cater to different plant types:

• Vegetable Mode: Optimized for leafy greens and herbs, promoting lush foliage.
• Flower and Fruit Mode: Provides specific light conditions to encourage flowering and fruiting plants.

4.3. Water Pump System

The built-in silent water pump circulates water to keep it fresh and oxygenated, providing a better growing environment for plant roots. The pump operates automatically according to a preset schedule.

• Water Refill: Monitor the water level indicator regularly. Refill with fresh water and nutrients when the level drops below 1.0L.
• Nutrient Replenishment: Add nutrients as per the plant's growth stage and water consumption. Refer to the user manual for specific ratios and frequency.
• Cleaning: Periodically clean the reservoir and pump to prevent algae buildup and ensure optimal performance. Unplug the unit before cleaning.
• Pruning: Trim plants as needed to encourage bushier growth and prevent overcrowding, especially for larger plants like tomatoes.

6. Troubleshooting

• Plants not sprouting: Ensure seeds were soaked for 6-12 hours prior to planting. Verify grow sponges are adequately moist.
• Water level dropping too quickly: Check for leaks. Ensure unused pod openings are covered with spacers to minimize evaporation.
• Light or pump not working: Verify the power adapter is securely connected to both the unit and the power outlet. If the adapter is faulty, contact customer service for a replacement.
• Algae growth: Ensure all unused pod openings are covered. Clean the reservoir and pump regularly.
• Plants appear weak or discolored: Check nutrient levels and ensure proper water circulation. Adjust grow mode if necessary.
