Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to correctly install your ATDEC ORA Monitor ARM.
1. Unpacking and Component Check
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all parts are present according to the packing list (not provided in this document, refer to your product packaging). If any parts are missing or damaged, do not proceed with installation and contact customer support.
2. Desk Clamp Installation
The ORA Monitor ARM typically uses a desk clamp for secure attachment to your workstation.
- Position the desk clamp base on the edge of your desk.
- Tighten the clamp screw until the arm is firmly secured to the desk. Ensure the clamp is stable and does not wobble.

3. Attaching the Monitor
The ORA Monitor ARM uses a VESA mounting plate to attach to your monitor.
- Locate the VESA mounting holes on the back of your monitor. These are typically 75x75mm or 100x100mm apart.
- Attach the VESA plate from the monitor arm to the back of your monitor using the provided screws. Ensure the screws are tightened securely but do not overtighten.
- Carefully lift the monitor with the attached VESA plate and slide it onto the arm's mounting head. Ensure it clicks into place or is secured with any locking mechanism present on the arm.

4. Cable Management
Route your monitor cables (power, video, etc.) through the integrated cable management channels or clips on the monitor arm. This helps maintain a tidy workspace and prevents cable damage.
Operating Instructions
The ATDEC ORA Monitor ARM offers various adjustment capabilities for optimal viewing comfort.
- Height Adjustment: Gently push or pull the monitor up or down to achieve the desired height. The gas spring mechanism will hold it in place.
- Tilt Adjustment: Tilt the monitor screen up or down to reduce glare and find your preferred viewing angle.
- Swivel Adjustment: Rotate the monitor left or right to share your screen with others or adjust your viewing position.
- Rotation (Portrait/Landscape): Rotate the monitor 90 degrees to switch between landscape and portrait orientations.
- Tension Adjustment: If the arm is too stiff or too loose for your monitor's weight, use the included Allen key to adjust the tension screw on the arm. Turn clockwise to increase tension (for heavier monitors) and counter-clockwise to decrease tension (for lighter monitors). Adjust gradually until the monitor stays in position when released.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your monitor arm.
- Cleaning: Wipe the arm surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Periodic Checks: Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary.
- Tension: Re-adjust the tension if your monitor's weight changes or if the arm no longer holds its position correctly.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Monitor arm sags or drifts down. | Tension is too low for the monitor's weight. | Increase the gas spring tension using the Allen key (turn clockwise). |
| Monitor arm is difficult to move up or down. | Tension is too high for the monitor's weight. | Decrease the gas spring tension using the Allen key (turn counter-clockwise). |
| Monitor wobbles or is unstable. | Desk clamp or VESA plate screws are loose. | Ensure the desk clamp is securely tightened. Check and tighten all VESA mounting screws on the monitor. |
| Cables are tangled or messy. | Improper cable routing. | Re-route cables through the integrated cable management channels or clips on the arm. |
