  2. Insert Filter: Place the permanent filter (or a paper filter, size 1x4) into the filter basket.

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your coffee maker.

6.1 Daily Cleaning

6.2 Descaling

Mineral deposits from water can build up over time and affect the performance of your coffee maker. Descale the appliance regularly, depending on the hardness of your water and frequency of use (e.g., every 2-4 months).

  1. Prepare a descaling solution according to the descaler manufacturer's instructions (e.g., white vinegar diluted with water, or a commercial descaling agent).
  2. Pour the descaling solution into the water tank.
  3. Place the empty glass jug on the hot plate.
  4. Start a brewing cycle without coffee.
  5. After about half of the solution has run through, switch off the appliance and let it stand for approximately 15-20 minutes to allow the solution to work.
  6. Switch the appliance back on and let the remaining solution run through.
