6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Playing a Vinyl Record

  1. Power On: Turn the Power ON/OFF & Volume knob clockwise to power on the unit. The indicator light will illuminate.
  2. Select Function: Set the Function Switch to 'PHONO'.
  3. Place Record: Place a vinyl record on the turntable platter.
  4. Select Speed: Set the Speed Selector to the correct speed (33 1/3, 45, or 78 RPM) for your record. For 45 RPM records, place the included 45 RPM adapter on the center spindle.
  5. Release Tonearm: Release the tonearm lock.
  6. Position Tonearm: Gently lift the tonearm using the cueing lever and move it over the desired track on the record.
  7. Lower Tonearm: Slowly lower the tonearm onto the record using the cueing lever. The music will begin to play.
  8. Adjust Volume: Adjust the volume using the Power ON/OFF & Volume knob.
  9. Auto-Stop: If the Auto Stop switch is set to 'ON', the platter will stop rotating automatically when the record finishes. If set to 'OFF', the platter will continue to rotate.
  10. After Playback: When the record is finished, gently lift the tonearm, return it to the tonearm rest, and secure it with the tonearm lock. Turn the Power ON/OFF & Volume knob counter-clockwise to power off the unit.

6.2 Bluetooth Audio Reception (BT IN)

You can stream music wirelessly from your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet) to the turntable's built-in speakers.

  1. Power On: Turn the Power ON/OFF & Volume knob clockwise to power on the unit.
  2. Select Function: Set the Function Switch to 'BT IN'. The indicator light will flash, indicating pairing mode.
  3. Pair Device: On your Bluetooth-enabled device, search for 'Fenton RP118F' (or similar name) in the Bluetooth settings and select it to pair. Once paired, the indicator light will stop flashing and remain solid.
  4. Play Music: Start playing music on your connected device. The audio will play through the turntable's speakers.
  5. Adjust Volume: Adjust the volume using the Power ON/OFF & Volume knob on the turntable and/or your connected device.

6.3 Bluetooth Audio Transmission (BT OUT)

You can transmit the audio from your playing vinyl record to an external Bluetooth speaker or headphones.

  1. Power On: Turn the Power ON/OFF & Volume knob clockwise to power on the unit.
  2. Select Function: Set the Function Switch to 'BT OUT'. The indicator light will flash, indicating transmission pairing mode.
  3. Prepare External Device: Put your external Bluetooth speaker or headphones into pairing mode.
  4. Connect: The turntable will automatically search for and connect to the nearest Bluetooth receiving device in pairing mode. Once connected, the indicator light will stop flashing and remain solid.
  5. Play Record: Follow the steps in section 6.1 to play a vinyl record. The audio will be transmitted to your external Bluetooth device.
  6. Adjust Volume: Adjust the volume on your external Bluetooth speaker or headphones. The turntable's volume knob will not control the output volume in BT OUT mode.

6.4 USB to MP3 Conversion

Convert your vinyl records into digital MP3 files using a computer and the included software.

  1. Install Software: Install the provided MP3 conversion software on your computer. (Refer to the software's instructions for installation details).
  2. Connect USB: Connect the turntable to your computer using the supplied USB cable.

6.5 Using the AUX Input (LINE IN)

  3. Play Audio: Play a vinyl record or use another audio source on the turntable.
