This flat, round ceiling lamp provides both an ambient 'Halo' glow towards the ceiling and a strong downward light beam. Both light points can be adjusted independently.

The central light beam offers adjustable white light from cool to warm (2700K – 6500K), while the HALO ring can be controlled with over 16 million colors via the free Calex app. The lamp has a diameter of 30 cm and operates on any 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.

2. Setup and Installation

Before beginning installation, ensure the power supply to the ceiling light fixture is turned off at the main circuit breaker to prevent electrical shock.

2.1 Physical Installation

1. Prepare the Mounting Location: Ensure the ceiling surface is clean, dry, and capable of supporting the light fixture's weight.
2. Mount the Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket (if separate) to the ceiling using appropriate screws and anchors.
3. Connect Wiring: Carefully connect the light's electrical wires to your home's wiring according to local electrical codes. Typically, this involves connecting live, neutral, and ground wires. If unsure, consult a qualified electrician.

2.2 App Installation and Pairing

1. Download the Calex Smart App: Search for "Calex Smart" in your smartphone's app store (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS) and download the free application.
2. Create an Account: Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create a new user account or log in if you already have one.
3. Add Device: In the Calex Smart app, tap the "+" icon or "Add Device" to begin the pairing process.
4. Select Device Type: Choose "Lighting" or "Ceiling Light" from the list of available device types.
5. Connect to Wi-Fi: Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The Calex Smart LED Ceiling Light requires a 2.4GHz network for initial setup and operation. Enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted.
6. Pairing Mode: Follow the app's instructions to put the light into pairing mode. This usually involves turning the light on and off a few times until it starts blinking.
7. Complete Pairing: The app will detect the light. Confirm the device and complete the pairing process. Once successfully paired, the light will stop blinking and may glow steadily.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Basic Light Control (App)

Once paired, you can control your CALEX Smart LED Ceiling Light directly from the Calex Smart app.

• On/Off: Tap the power icon in the app to turn the light on or off.
• Dimming: Use the brightness slider to adjust the light intensity from 1% to 100%.
• White Light Adjustment: Select the "White" mode to adjust the color temperature of the main light beam from warm white (2700K) to cool white (6500K).
• Color Selection (Halo Ring): Select the "Color" mode to choose from over 16 million colors for the ambient HALO ring. You can adjust saturation and brightness for the chosen color.
• Independent Control: Both the main light and the HALO ring can be controlled independently within the app.

3.2 Advanced App Features

• Timers & Schedules: Set specific times for the light to turn on/off, dim, or change color. This can be used to automate your lighting routines.
• Scenes & Automations: Create custom scenes (e.g., "Movie Night," "Reading Mode") with predefined brightness, color, and temperature settings. Automations allow you to trigger scenes based on conditions like time of day or other smart devices.
• Device Grouping: If you have multiple Calex Smart devices, you can group them together for simultaneous control.

3.3 Voice Control

The CALEX Smart LED Ceiling Light is compatible with popular voice assistants. To enable voice control, link your Calex Smart account within the respective voice assistant app (Google Home, Amazon Alexa, or Apple HomeKit/Siri).
