2. Setup
2.1 Unpacking and Inspection
Carefully remove the module from its packaging. Inspect the module for any signs of damage during transit. If any damage is found, contact your dealer immediately.
2.2 Power Requirements
The Behringer 1630 is a Eurorack module and requires a standard Eurorack power supply. Ensure your power supply can provide sufficient current for the module. Refer to your Eurorack case manual for power distribution details.
2.3 Installation
- Turn off and unplug your Eurorack case before installation.
- Locate an available 14HP (HP-HSC) space in your Eurorack case.

- AMOUNT OF SHIFT: This large central knob controls the primary frequency shift amount. It features both linear and exponential scales, allowing for precise or dramatic shifts. The range is from -50 to +50 Hz (linear) and 2 Hz to 2 kHz (exponential).
- SQUELCH THRESHOLD: Adjusts the input signal level at which the frequency shifting begins. Useful for noise reduction or creative gating effects. Range from -60 dB to 0 dB.
- SCALE: Controls the overall scaling of the frequency shift. This knob works in conjunction with the AMOUNT OF SHIFT. Range from 0 to 5K.
- ZERO ADJUST: Fine-tunes the zero-point of the frequency shift, ensuring accurate pitch centering when desired.
- MIXTURE: Blends the dry input signal with the wet (frequency-shifted) signal. 'A' represents the shifted signal, 'B' represents the dry signal.
- SIG IN: Audio input jack for the signal to be processed.

3.2 Basic Operation

- Connect OUT A, OUT B, or MIX OUT to an audio mixer or another module for further processing.
- Adjust the AMOUNT OF SHIFT knob to hear the frequency shifting effect. Experiment with both the linear and exponential ranges.
- Use the MIXTURE knob to blend the original signal with the shifted signal.
- Fine-tune the SQUELCH THRESHOLD to control when the shifting engages based on input level.

4. Maintenance
