5. Operation

Once installed and connected, the DOKIO Solar Kit operates automatically. The solar panels convert sunlight into DC electricity, which is then fed into the micro inverter. The inverter converts this DC electricity into usable AC electricity, which is then fed into your home's electrical system, reducing your reliance on grid power and lowering your electricity bills.

The system is designed to generate power during daylight hours. The intelligent monitoring system (see Section 6) allows you to track its performance.

6. Intelligent Monitoring (APP/WIFI)

The DOKIO 800W Micro Inverter features integrated WIFI connectivity and a dedicated mobile application for intelligent data monitoring. This allows you to:

  • View real-time electricity generation.
  • Track your energy savings over time.
  • Monitor system performance and status from your smartphone or tablet.

Refer to the inverter's specific manual for detailed instructions on connecting to WIFI and using the mobile application.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your DOKIO Solar Kit, consider the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No power generation / Low output
  • Insufficient sunlight or shading on panels.
  • Dirty solar panels.
  • Loose or incorrect wiring connections.
  • Inverter error or overheating.
  • Ensure panels are in direct sunlight and free from shadows.
  • Clean panel surfaces as per maintenance instructions.
  • Check all DC and AC connections for secure fit.
  • Ensure inverter has adequate ventilation. If it overheats and shuts down (e.g., at 65°C), allow it to cool and ensure it's not in direct sunlight or an enclosed space.
Inverter indicator light is off
  • No DC input from panels.
  • No AC power from grid.
  • Inverter malfunction.
  • Check panel connections and ensure sufficient sunlight.
  • Verify the AC plug is securely inserted into the socket and the socket has power.
  • Contact customer support if the issue persists after checking connections and power.
