1.2 Initial Connection
The ROCCAT Vulcan II Mini Air keyboard offers multiple connectivity options:
- Wired Connection (USB-C): Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard and the USB-A end to an available USB port on your computer. The keyboard will automatically power on and begin charging.
- 2.4GHz Stellar Wireless: For optimal gaming performance, use the 2.4GHz wireless connection. Insert the USB wireless dongle (typically found in the keyboard's storage compartment or packaging) into an available USB port on your computer. The keyboard should automatically pair.
- Bluetooth Connection: The keyboard supports connection to up to three unique Bluetooth devices. To pair, ensure the keyboard is in Bluetooth mode (refer to the operating instructions for mode switching). On your device, search for available Bluetooth devices and select "ROCCAT Vulcan II Mini Air". Follow any on-screen prompts to complete pairing.
1.3 Software Installation
For full customization and advanced features, download and install the ROCCAT Swarm software from the official ROCCAT website. This software allows for key remapping, macro creation, RGB lighting customization, and profile management.

2. Operating Instructions
2.1 Keyboard Layout and Functions
The Vulcan II Mini Air features a 65% form factor, providing a compact design while retaining essential arrow keys. Many functions are accessed via the FN key in combination with other keys.

2.2 Easy-Shift[+] Button Duplicator Technology
The Easy-Shift[+] feature allows you to assign a second function to compatible keys. When the Easy-Shift[+] key (typically FN or a user-defined key) is held down, the assigned secondary functions become active. This expands the keyboard's capabilities significantly.

2.3 Smart Keys
The keyboard features 29 multi-function Smart Keys equipped with dual LEDs. These LEDs illuminate to indicate when a secondary function, accessed via Easy-Shift[+] or other modifiers, is currently active.
2.4 On-Board Profiles
The keyboard includes on-board memory to save up to 5 custom profiles. These profiles can store personalized lighting effects, key reassignments, and macro settings, allowing you to switch between configurations without software.
- Saving Profiles: Configure your settings in ROCCAT Swarm and save them to an on-board profile slot.
- Switching Profiles: Use the designated key combination (refer to ROCCAT Swarm or the quick start guide) to cycle through saved profiles.
2.5 RGB Illumination (AIMO Lighting)
The Vulcan II Mini Air features ROCCAT's AIMO lighting technology, offering vibrant RGB illumination with 16.8 million colors. Lighting effects can be customized via the ROCCAT Swarm software and can synchronize with other compatible AIMO-enabled devices.
2.6 Adaptive Battery Life
A proximity sensor detects when you are away from the keyboard and automatically adjusts the lighting to maximize battery life. This feature helps extend usage time, providing up to 240 hours of battery life under optimal conditions.

3. Maintenance
3.1 Cleaning
To clean your keyboard, use a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Ensure the keyboard is disconnected from power before cleaning.
3.2 Keycap Replacement

4. Troubleshooting
- Keyboard Not Responding:
- Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected or the wireless dongle is properly inserted.

- Wireless Connectivity Issues:
- For 2.4GHz Stellar Wireless, ensure the dongle is close to the keyboard and there are no major obstructions.
- For Bluetooth, ensure the keyboard is in pairing mode and your device's Bluetooth is enabled. Remove and re-pair the device if necessary.
- Avoid interference from other wireless devices.
- Keys Not Registering or Double-Typing:
- Ensure the ROCCAT Swarm software is up to date.
- Clean around the affected key to remove any debris.
- If the issue persists, contact ROCCAT support.
- RGB Lighting Not Working Correctly:
- Verify lighting settings in the ROCCAT Swarm software.
- Ensure the keyboard firmware is updated.
- Check for any conflicting software that might be controlling RGB.
