3. Setup
3.1 Charging the Keyboard
Before initial use, it is recommended to fully charge the keyboard. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard's USB-C port and the other end to a powered USB port on your computer or a USB wall adapter. The charging indicator (usually located near the USB-C port or on the spacebar) will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.

3.2 Connecting the Keyboard
The BOYI 61 Pro Mini supports three connection modes: Wired, 2.4GHz Wireless, and Bluetooth 5.0.
3.2.1 Wired Mode
- Ensure the keyboard's power switch (located on the back) is in the OFF position.
- Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard and your computer's USB port.
- The keyboard will automatically be recognized by your operating system.
3.2.2 2.4GHz Wireless Mode
- Locate the 2.4GHz wireless receiver (USB dongle) in the keyboard's packaging.
- Plug the 2.4GHz receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- Turn the keyboard's power switch to the ON position.
- Press Fn + R to switch to 2.4GHz wireless mode. The indicator light will flash to confirm pairing.
- The keyboard should connect automatically.
3.2.3 Bluetooth Mode
The keyboard supports connecting up to three Bluetooth devices.
- Turn the keyboard's power switch to the ON position.
- Press Fn + Q, Fn + W, or Fn + E to select a Bluetooth channel. The corresponding key will flash rapidly, indicating it's in pairing mode.
- On your device (computer, tablet, smartphone), enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
- Select "BOYI 61 Pro Mini" from the list of available devices to pair.
- Once paired, the indicator light will stop flashing and remain solid for a few seconds.
- To switch between paired Bluetooth devices, press Fn + Q, Fn + W, or Fn + E.

4. Operating Instructions

4.2 RGB Lighting Control
The keyboard features 10 different RGB lighting modes and interactive customizable game modes.
- Change Mode: Press Fn + Alt + T to cycle through the available RGB lighting modes.
- Adjust Brightness: Use Fn + ; : to decrease brightness and Fn + ' " to increase brightness.
- Adjust Speed: Use Fn + [ { to slow down the lighting effect and Fn + ] } to speed it up.
4.3 Ergonomic Design
The keyboard is designed with two adjustable feet to provide ergonomic typing angles. You can choose between a 4° or 7° tilt to reduce wrist fatigue during extended use.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Keyboard
- Disconnect the keyboard from all power sources and devices before cleaning.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe the keycaps and casing.
- For dust and debris between keys, use compressed air.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasives, or solvents as they may damage the keyboard's finish.
5.2 Hot-Swapping Switches
The BOYI 61 Pro Mini features hot-swappable switches, allowing you to change mechanical switches without soldering. It supports most 3-pin/5-pin MX-similar mechanical switches (e.g., Gateron, Cherry).
- Using the provided keycap puller, carefully remove the desired keycap by pulling straight up.
- Using the provided switch puller, grip the switch firmly from the top and bottom clips and pull straight up to remove it from the PCB.
- Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB. Ensure the pins are straight to avoid bending.
- Gently press the new switch into place until it clicks securely.
- Re-attach the keycap.

6. Troubleshooting
- Keyboard not responding:
- Ensure the keyboard is charged.
- Check the power switch on the back of the keyboard is ON.
- Verify the correct connection mode (Wired, 2.4GHz, or Bluetooth) is selected using Fn key combinations.
- For wired mode, try a different USB port or cable.
- For 2.4GHz mode, ensure the receiver is securely plugged in and try re-pairing (Fn + R).
- For Bluetooth mode, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and try re-pairing (Fn + Q/W/E).
- RGB lighting not working or stuck:
- Ensure the keyboard is charged.
- Try cycling through lighting modes using Fn + Alt + T.
- Adjust brightness using Fn + ; : and Fn + ' ".
- Keys not registering or double-typing:
- This could indicate a faulty switch. Try hot-swapping the affected switch with one of the spare switches provided or a known working switch.
- Ensure the switch is fully seated in the PCB.
- Bluetooth connection unstable:
- Ensure your device is within range (typically 10 meters).
- Minimize interference from other wireless devices.
- Try unpairing and re-pairing the keyboard with your device.
