5. Drainage Methods
Your AirEase dehumidifier offers two methods for water drainage:

Image 5.1: Illustration of the two drainage methods: Manual Drainage (collecting water in the tank) and Auto Drainage (diverting water via a hose to a floor drain).
5.1 Manual Drainage (Water Tank)
The dehumidifier collects water in its internal tank. When the tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off, and an indicator light will illuminate. Carefully remove the water tank from the unit and empty the collected water. Reinsert the tank securely to resume operation.
5.2 Continuous Drainage
For continuous operation without needing to empty the water tank, connect a drainage hose (not included) to the continuous drainage port on the back of the unit. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to a suitable drain (e.g., floor drain) to allow gravity to remove the water. This method is ideal for prolonged use in humid environments.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your dehumidifier.
6.1 Cleaning the Air Filter
- Turn off the unit and unplug it from the power outlet.
- Locate and remove the air filter (typically on the back or side of the unit).
- Clean the filter with a vacuum cleaner or wash it gently with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.
- Clean the air filter every two weeks or more frequently if used in dusty environments.
6.2 Cleaning the Unit Exterior
Wipe the exterior of the dehumidifier with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or solvents, as these can damage the surface.
6.3 Storage
If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure the water tank is empty and clean, and the air filter is clean and dry. Store the unit upright in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
