This manual provides instructions for the Magnasonic FS70 All-in-One 25MP Film Scanner. This device is designed to convert various film and slide formats into digital JPEG files, allowing for preservation and easy sharing of your photographic memories. 2. What's Included

3. Setup
- Power Connection: Connect the provided USB-A to USB-C cable to the scanner's USB-C port and the other end to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
- SD Card Insertion: For saving scanned images, insert an SD card (up to 128GB, not included) into the SD card slot on the side of the scanner. Ensure the card is inserted correctly until it clicks into place.
- Power On: Press and hold the power button on the top of the scanner for approximately 3 seconds to turn on the device. The 5-inch TFT LCD display will illuminate.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Inserting Film or Slides
The scanner supports various film and slide types using specific inserts and adapters:
- 35mm Film (Negative Film Adapter)

- Super 8/8mm Film (Super 8/8mm Film Insert)

Open the appropriate film or slide holder, carefully place your film or slide into the designated slot, and close the holder. Then, insert the loaded holder into the scanner's side slot until it is securely in place.

4.2 Scanning Process
- View on Display: Once the film/slide is inserted, the image will appear on the 5-inch TFT LCD display. Use the navigation buttons (left/right arrows) to adjust the position of the film within the holder if needed.
- Adjust Settings: The intuitive user interface allows for direct adjustments. Press the 'Menu' button to access options such as brightness, RGB color correction, flip, and mirror. Navigate through options using the arrow buttons and confirm with 'OK'.
- Scan: Press the 'SCAN' button to capture the image. The scanner will process the image, typically within 3-5 seconds.
- Save: After scanning, the image will be saved to the inserted SD card. If no SD card is present, the image will be saved to the internal memory (64MB, approximately 8 images).

4.3 Connecting to a TV/Monitor
The scanner features an HDMI output. Connect an HDMI cable (not included) from the scanner to your TV or monitor to view your scanned images on a larger screen.
4.4 Transferring Files to a Computer
To transfer files, connect the scanner to your computer using the provided USB cable. The scanner will appear as a removable storage device, allowing you to copy the JPEG files from the SD card or internal memory to your computer. No special software or driver installation is required.
5. Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and image quality.
- Lens Cleaning: Use the provided cleaning brush to gently remove dust and debris from the scanner's lens and film/slide pathways.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the scanner with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Film/Slide Holders: Keep film and slide holders clean and free of dust to prevent scratches or smudges on your media during scanning.
6. Troubleshooting
- Scanner does not power on: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the scanner and a power source. Try a different USB port or power adapter.
- Image appears blurry or dusty: Clean the scanner's lens and film/slide holders using the provided cleaning brush. Ensure the film or slide is inserted correctly and lies flat within the holder.
- No image on display: Check that the film or slide is correctly positioned in its holder and that the holder is fully inserted into the scanner.
- Cannot save images: Verify that an SD card is inserted and that it has sufficient free space. If the SD card is full, transfer files to a computer or delete unnecessary files. Ensure the SD card is not write-protected.
- Colors are incorrect: Use the scanner's built-in RGB color correction settings to adjust the color balance.
