5. Setup Instructions
5.1. Download the Geeni App
- Search for "Geeni" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Download and install the app on your smartphone or tablet.
5.2. Register or Log In
- Open the Geeni app.
- If you are a new user, tap "Register" and follow the on-screen prompts to create an account.
- If you already have an account, tap "Log In" and enter your credentials.
5.3. Add Device (Wi-Fi Connection)
- Plug in your Geeni Insight Mini 2K Camera using the provided USB cable and power adapter. The camera's LED indicator should begin flashing blue, indicating it's ready for pairing.
- Open the Geeni app and tap the "+" icon in the top right corner to add a new device.
- Select "Video Camera" from the device list.
- Confirm that the indicator light is flashing blue, then tap "Next Step".
- Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network name and password. The camera does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi networks.
- The app will display a QR code. Hold your phone approximately 6-8 inches (15-20 cm) in front of the camera lens until you hear a prompt.
- Once the camera connects, the LED indicator will turn solid blue. Tap "I Heard the Prompt" in the app.
- The camera will now be added to your Geeni account. You can rename the camera for easier identification.
5.4. Mounting the Camera
The Geeni Insight Mini 2K camera can be placed on a flat surface or mounted to a wall or ceiling using the included mounting kit. The flexible stem allows for adjustable viewing angles.
- Tabletop Placement: Simply place the camera on any flat, stable surface.
- Wall/Ceiling Mount:

- Use the mounting plate as a template to mark screw holes.
