1. Important Safety Information

3. Setup and Installation

The Tornado 20-inch fan is designed for easy assembly and can be mounted on a wall or ceiling.

1. Unpack the Fan: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts are present and undamaged.
2. Choose Mounting Location: Select a suitable location on a concrete wall, metal rack, or ceiling that can support the fan's weight and provide adequate clearance for airflow.
3. Mounting (Wall/Ceiling): For secure mounting, an expansion bolt (M10x80) is required (sold separately). Follow standard safety procedures for drilling and securing the fan to the chosen surface. Ensure the mounting is stable and can withstand fan vibrations.
4. Positioning: Once mounted, adjust the fan to the desired angle using the 180-degree vertical tilting feature.
5. Power Connection: Plug the 6.6 FT SJTW power cord into a compatible 120V, 60Hz power outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

To operate your Tornado 20-inch high velocity fan, follow these steps:

1. Power On: Ensure the fan is securely plugged into a grounded 120V, 60Hz electrical outlet.
2. Select Speed: Use the control knob located on the fan motor housing to select one of the three available speed settings:
   • High: 4750 CFM
   • Medium: 4200 CFM
   • Low: 3800 CFM
3. Adjust Airflow Direction: Loosen the adjustment knobs on the side of the fan frame to tilt the fan head up or down, directing airflow as needed. Tighten the knobs once the desired angle is achieved. The fan offers a full 180-degree vertical tilting angle.
4. Power Off: Turn the control knob to the 'OFF' position when finished using the fan. For extended periods of non-use, unplug the fan from the power outlet.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your fan.

• Cleaning: Always unplug the fan before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior surfaces. For the grille and blades, use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment or a soft brush to remove dust and debris. The manufacturer recommends hand washing for care.
• Motor: The fan features a Totally Enclosed Air Over (TEAO) ball bearing motor, which is designed to protect against workshop debris and dust, requiring minimal internal maintenance.
• Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the fan in a clean, dry place, protected from dust and moisture.

6. Troubleshooting

• Fan Does Not Turn On:

  • Check for any obstructions around the fan grille or blades.
  • Clean any accumulated dust or debris from the blades and grille.
  • Ensure the fan is set to a higher speed setting if more airflow is desired.
• Unusual Noise or Vibration:
  • Ensure the fan is securely mounted and all screws are tightened.
  • Check for any loose parts or foreign objects inside the fan grille.
