2. Important Safety Instructions
- Always unplug the machine from the electrical outlet immediately after using and before cleaning, removing, or replacing any parts.
- Do not allow children to operate the machine without supervision.
- Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual.
- Never operate the machine if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, or if it has been dropped or damaged.

4. Setup and Initial Use
4.1 Powering the Machine
The sewing machine can be powered by either the included AC adapter or 4 AA batteries (not included).
- AC Adapter: Insert the small end of the AC adapter into the DC input jack on the back of the machine. Plug the other end into a standard electrical outlet (AC 100-240V).
- Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the machine. Insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.

4.2 Threading the Machine
Proper threading is crucial for consistent stitching. Follow these steps carefully:
- Place a spool of thread on the spool pin.
- Guide the thread through the upper thread guide.
- Pass the thread through the tension adjustment dial.
- Thread the needle from front to back.
- Raise the presser foot lever.
- Insert a pre-wound bobbin into the bobbin case under the needle plate. Ensure the thread unwinds in the correct direction.
- Pull the bobbin thread up through the needle plate opening using the upper thread.
- Lower the presser foot.
4.3 Attaching the Foot Pedal
The foot pedal provides hands-free speed control. Plug the foot pedal cable into the designated port on the side of the machine.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Selecting a Stitch Pattern
This machine offers 12 different stitch patterns. Rotate the stitch selector dial to choose your desired stitch. Refer to the stitch guide for visual representation of each pattern.

5.2 Adjusting Sewing Speed
The machine has two speed settings: Low (L) and High (H). Use the speed switch located on the front of the machine to select the appropriate speed for your project. For beginners or intricate work, the Low speed is recommended.
5.3 Starting and Stopping Sewing
- Place the fabric under the presser foot.
- Lower the presser foot lever.
- Slowly press the foot pedal or slide the power switch to the 'ON' position to begin sewing.
- To stop, release the foot pedal or slide the power switch to the 'OFF' position.
- Raise the presser foot and gently pull the fabric away from the machine.
- Cut the threads using the built-in thread cutter.
5.4 Reverse Sewing
To reinforce stitches at the beginning and end of a seam, press and hold the reverse lever/button while sewing. Release to continue forward stitching.
6. Maintenance and Care
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and smooth operation of your sewing machine.
6.1 Cleaning
- Always unplug the machine before cleaning.
- Use a soft brush to remove lint and dust from the bobbin area and feed dogs.
- Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or harsh chemicals.
6.2 Needle Replacement
Replace the needle regularly, especially if it becomes bent, dull, or if you experience skipped stitches. Ensure the flat side of the needle faces the back of the machine when inserting.
6.3 Storage
When not in use, store the machine in a dry, dust-free environment. It is recommended to cover the machine to protect it from dust.
