3. Setup
Follow these steps for quick and easy setup of your JAIOT camera:
- Insert Micro SD Card: If you plan to use local storage, insert a micro SD card (up to 256GB, not included) into the designated slot before powering on the camera.
- Plug in the Camera: Connect the USB-C cable to the camera and the power adapter, then plug it into a power outlet.
- Download iSeeHome App: Scan the QR code in the user manual or search for "iSeeHome" in your app store (Google Play or Apple App Store) to download the application.
- Create Account: Open the iSeeHome app and register for a new account if you don't have one.
- Connect to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi: Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Note: This camera does not support 5G Wi-Fi.
- Add Device: In the iSeeHome app, tap the "+" button to add a new smart device. The app should auto-detect the camera. Select it and follow the on-screen prompts to connect.
- Name Your Camera: Once connected, set a name for your camera (e.g., "Living Room," "Bedroom").

Access live video feed from your camera anytime, anywhere via the iSeeHome app. The camera is equipped with 850nm IR lights for night vision. For enhanced clarity in low light, two spotlights illuminate the area, providing full-color night vision.

5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your JAIOT camera:
- SD Card Formatting: Ensure your micro SD card is formatted to FAT32 for proper functionality. If the card has been used for a long time and writing speed drops, consider replacing it.
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust or smudges. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Power Supply: Always ensure the camera is connected to a stable power source.
6. Troubleshooting
Refer to these common issues and solutions:
- SD Card Not Storing Recordings:
- Ensure the micro SD card is inserted before plugging in the camera (no hot-plugging).
- Verify the micro SD card is formatted to FAT32.
- If the card has been used for a long time and writing speed drops, consider changing to a new micro SD card.
- Cannot Delete Footage/Motion Clips:
- Footage and event history cannot be manually deleted within the iSeeHome App for protection against evidence destruction.
- Cloud storage clips are deleted automatically after a certain period based on your plan.
- SD card clips are deleted automatically on a first-in, first-out basis when storage is full. You can manually delete them from a computer with an SD card reader.
- Device Not Working/Defective:
- If the indicator light is on, press the reset button for 10 seconds until you hear a prompt voice, then re-setup the camera.
- If the indicator light is off, ensure the power supply is functioning correctly and try another outlet.
- Cannot Receive Notifications:
- Turn ON notifications for your mobile device.
- Enable Notification banner from Settings on iSeeHome App.
- Set Motion Detection Alert for the JAIOT camera(s).
- For Android devices, allow the iSeeHome App to run in the background and enable app notifications while in power-saving mode.
- 5G Wi-Fi Not Supported: This camera only works with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. Ensure your device is connected to a 2.4GHz network during setup.
