5.1. Type A: Plug & Play Installation (with compatible ballast)
- Turn OFF Power: Ensure the power supply to the fixture is completely turned off at the circuit breaker.
- Verify Ballast Compatibility: Refer to the ballast compatibility list (Image 2) to confirm your existing ballast is compatible with Type A LED tubes. If not compatible, proceed with Type B installation.
- Remove Old Fluorescent Tube: Carefully remove the existing fluorescent tube from the fixture.
- Insert LED Tube: Insert the Romwish LED tube into the fixture's sockets. Ensure it is securely seated.
- Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker. The LED tube should illuminate.
5.2. Type B: Ballast Bypass (Direct Wire) Installation
This method requires bypassing the existing ballast and directly wiring the fixture to the main power supply. This is recommended if your ballast is incompatible or to eliminate ballast-related issues and energy consumption.
- Turn OFF Power: Ensure the power supply to the fixture is completely turned off at the circuit breaker.
- Remove Old Fluorescent Tube: Carefully remove the existing fluorescent tube from the fixture.
- Access Ballast: Open the fixture cover to expose the ballast and wiring.
- Remove Ballast: Cut all input and output wires connected to the ballast. Remove the ballast from the fixture.
- Rewire Fixture: Connect the live (hot) wire from the power supply to one end of the fixture's tombstone (socket) and the neutral wire from the power supply to the other end of the fixture's tombstone. Ensure connections are secure using wire nuts or appropriate connectors. This tube is dual-end powered.
- Close Fixture: Securely close the fixture cover.
- Insert LED Tube: Insert the Romwish LED tube into the fixture's sockets. Ensure it is securely seated.
- Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker. The LED tube should illuminate.
