Setup and Assembly

The Smoby Supermarket playset requires adult assembly. Follow the included graphical instructions carefully.

1. Unpack all components and verify against the package contents list.
2. Assemble the main supermarket structure according to the step-by-step diagrams. Ensure all connections are secure.
3. Assemble the shopping trolley.
4. For the electronic barcode scanner:
   • Locate the battery compartment on the scanner.
   • Using a screwdriver, open the battery compartment cover.
   • Insert 2 AAA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
   • Close the battery compartment cover and secure with the screw.
5. Fold and assemble the cardboard food boxes.
6. Place the various accessories (fruits, vegetables, macarons, cans, money) into their designated areas on the supermarket shelves and cash register.

Operating Instructions

The Smoby Supermarket playset offers various interactive features for an engaging play experience.

Electronic Barcode Scanner

• Press the button on the scanner to activate light and sound effects, simulating a real barcode scan.
• Use the scanner to "scan" the various play food items.

Mechanical Scale

• Place play fruits and vegetables onto the scale to observe the mechanical needle movement. This feature is for imaginative play and does not provide accurate weight measurements.

Cash Register

• The cash register includes a money drawer that can be opened and closed.
• Utilize the play coins and bills for transactions.
• The credit card reader allows for pretend card payments.
• The microphone is for imaginative announcements.

Adjustable Clock and Open/Close Sign

• The clock hands can be manually adjusted for time-telling practice.
• Flip the sign to indicate whether the supermarket is "Open" or "Closed".
