| Blinking Green | Pairing mode active. | |
| Powerline | Solid Green | Connected to Powerline network with good speed. |
| Solid Amber | Connected to Powerline network with fair speed. | |
| Solid Red | Connected to Powerline network with poor speed. | |
| Off | Not connected to Powerline network. | |
| Ethernet/LAN | Solid Green | Ethernet port is connected. |
| Blinking Green | Data activity on Ethernet port. | |
| Wi-Fi (WLAN 600 only) | Solid Green | Wi-Fi is active. |
| Blinking Green | WPS pairing in progress. |
4.2 Connecting Devices
- Wired Devices: Connect devices like desktop computers, gaming consoles, or smart TVs to the Ethernet port of any Powerline 600 adapter using an Ethernet cable.
- Wireless Devices: Connect smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other Wi-Fi enabled devices to the Wi-Fi network broadcast by the Powerline WLAN 600 adapter. Search for the network name (SSID) and enter the password.
5. Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Powerline adapters:
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the adapters with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Placement: Always plug the adapters directly into a wall socket. Avoid power strips, surge protectors, or extension cords, as these can significantly degrade performance.
- Ventilation: Ensure the adapters have adequate ventilation. Do not cover them or place them in enclosed spaces.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the Strong website for firmware updates. Keeping your firmware up-to-date can improve performance and security.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Powerline Wi-Fi 600 Triple Pack, try the following solutions:
6.1 No Powerline Connection
- Check Power: Ensure all adapters are securely plugged into live wall sockets.
- Direct Connection: Make sure adapters are plugged directly into wall sockets, not power strips or extension cords.
- Pairing: Re-attempt the pairing process as described in Section 3.1.
- Circuit Breaker: Powerline communication works best within the same electrical circuit. If adapters are on different circuits, performance may be affected or connection may fail. Try moving adapters to sockets on the same circuit.
6.2 Slow Speed or Intermittent Connection
- Electrical Interference: Large appliances (refrigerators, washing machines, microwaves) can cause interference. Try plugging adapters into different sockets away from such devices.
- Wiring Quality: Older or poor quality electrical wiring can impact performance.
- Distance: While Powerline works over electrical wiring, very long distances or multiple circuit breakers between adapters can reduce speed.
- LED Status: Check the Powerline LED indicator (Amber or Red) to gauge connection quality.
6.3 Wi-Fi Issues (Powerline WLAN 600)
- Wi-Fi LED: Ensure the Wi-Fi LED on the Powerline WLAN 600 adapter is solid green.
- SSID/Password: Verify you are connecting to the correct Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and using the correct password.
- Signal Strength: Move closer to the Powerline WLAN 600 adapter to check signal strength.
- Interference: Other Wi-Fi networks or electronic devices can cause interference. Try changing the Wi-Fi channel if possible (advanced setting).
