3. Setup
3.1. Battery Installation and Charging
Before initial use, install the provided NiMH rechargeable battery packs into each handset. Connect the base unit and charger unit to power outlets using the AC adapters. Place the handsets on their respective charging cradles.

- Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the TEL LINE jack on the base unit.
- Connect the other end of the telephone line cord to a telephone wall jack.
- Plug the base unit's AC adapter into a power outlet.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Making and Answering Calls
- To Make a Call: Press TALK or SPEAKER, then dial the number.
- To Answer a Call: Press TALK or SPEAKER when the phone rings.
- To End a Call: Press END or place the handset back on the charging cradle.

4.2. Answering Machine
The integrated digital answering machine records messages when you are unavailable. It offers up to 15 minutes of recording time.
