2. Setup

2.1 Initial Installation

The door chime receiver and door sensors are pre-paired at the factory for your convenience. Follow these steps for initial setup:

  1. Mount the Door Sensor: Choose a door or window where you want to detect opening. Attach the two parts of the sensor to the door/window frame and the moving part (door/window) using the provided adhesive pads or screws. Ensure the distance between the two sensor parts does not exceed 0.4 inches (approximately 1 cm) when the door/window is closed. The small magnet part should align with the marked area on the larger sensor unit.
  2. Plug in the Receiver: Insert the chime receiver into a standard electrical outlet in a central location within your desired monitoring area.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Battery Replacement (Door Sensor)

The door sensors are powered by an alkaline battery designed for long-lasting use (up to 7200 activations). When the sensor's performance degrades or it stops triggering the chime, it's time to replace the battery.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the larger part of the door sensor.
  2. Slide the battery cover off in the direction indicated by the 'UP' arrow on the back of the sensor.
  3. Remove the old battery and insert a new battery of the same type (e.g., 23A 12V Alkaline battery), ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Slide the battery cover back on until it clicks into place.
