3.1 Unpacking and Initial Placement

  1. Remove the printer from its packaging.
  2. Remove all protective tapes and packing materials from the exterior and interior of the printer.
  3. Place the printer on a flat, stable surface near a power outlet.

3.2 Filling the Ink Tanks

The EcoTank ET-2803 uses high-capacity ink tanks. Follow these steps to fill them:

  1. Open the ink tank unit cover on the front of the printer.
  2. Open the cap for the black ink tank.
  3. Uncap the black ink bottle (T522120-S). The EcoFit bottles are uniquely keyed to fit only the correct color tank.
  4. Insert the ink bottle into the filling port. The ink will begin to flow automatically into the tank. Do not squeeze the bottle.
  5. Once the tank is full, the ink flow will stop. Remove the bottle and recap the ink tank securely.
  6. Repeat for the Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow ink tanks using their respective T522 ink bottles.
  7. Close the ink tank unit cover.
