Maintenance
Cleaning Your TV
- Always unplug the TV before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the screen and TV frame.
- For stubborn marks, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen-specific cleaning solution (never spray directly onto the screen).
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents.
Ventilation
Ensure adequate ventilation around your TV to prevent overheating. Do not block ventilation openings on the back or sides of the TV. Maintain a minimum distance of 4 inches (10 cm) from walls and other objects.
Remote Control Batteries
Replace the AAA batteries in your Alexa Voice Remote Enhanced when the remote's performance degrades or the TV indicates low battery. Ensure correct polarity when inserting new batteries.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Fire TV, try the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Power: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the TV and a working power outlet. Try a different outlet.
- No Picture/Sound: Check that the correct input source is selected. Verify all cables (HDMI, audio) are securely connected. Restart the TV by unplugging it for 30 seconds and plugging it back in.
- Remote Not Responding: Replace the batteries in the remote. If the issue persists, try re-pairing the remote by holding the Home button for 10 seconds near the TV.
- Network Connection Issues: Restart your Wi-Fi router and modem. On the TV, go to Settings > Network and try reconnecting to your Wi-Fi. Ensure your Wi-Fi password is correct.
- App Performance Issues: Close and reopen the app. Clear the app's cache (Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications > [App Name] > Clear Cache). If problems persist, uninstall and reinstall the app.
- Alexa Not Responding: Ensure the microphone switch on the TV is not turned off. Check your internet connection.
