Introduction

Setup

1. Battery Installation

Ensure the battery pack is fully charged before use. To install, align the battery pack with the port on the tool handle and slide it in until it clicks securely into place. To remove, press the release latches on the sides of the battery pack and pull it out.

2. Loading Nails

This nailer uses 16-gauge straight finish nails. To load, pull back the pusher assembly until it locks into place. Insert a strip of nails into the magazine with the nail points facing down. Release the pusher assembly to secure the nails.

3. Adjusting Depth of Drive

The tool features a tool-free depth of drive adjustment. Rotate the adjustment dial located near the nose of the tool to set the desired nail depth. Turn clockwise for deeper setting and counter-clockwise for shallower setting. Test on a scrap piece of material to achieve optimal results.

Operating

1. General Operation

To operate the nailer, ensure a charged battery is installed and nails are loaded. Press the contact trip firmly against the workpiece surface. Then, pull the trigger to drive a nail. The tool is designed for sequential firing, meaning the contact trip must be pressed against the surface before the trigger can be pulled for each nail.

2. Regulating Air Pressure Speed

A convenient adjustment dial allows you to regulate the air pressure speed for optimal performance depending on the material and nail type. Experiment with different settings to find the ideal speed for your application.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Keep the tool clean and free of debris. Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe down the exterior. Do not use solvents or harsh chemicals, as they may damage plastic parts. Regularly clear any sawdust or small particles from the magazine and nose area.

2. Clearing Jams

The RYOBI P326 features a tool-free jam release mechanism for easy access to clear nails. If a jam occurs, first remove the battery pack for safety. Then, open the jam release lever and carefully remove any jammed nails. Close the lever securely before re-installing the battery and resuming operation.

3. Storage

Store the nailer in a dry, secure location out of reach of children. Remove the battery pack before storing for extended periods.
