4. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your Nanny Monitor BM-02:

1. Choose Location: Select a stable and flat surface for the crib or bed where the baby will sleep.
2. Place Sensor Mat: Carefully place the sensor mat directly on the solid base of the crib, under the mattress. Ensure the mat is flat and centered where the baby will lie.

3. Connect Main Unit: Connect the cable from the sensor mat to the main Nanny Monitor BM-02 unit. Ensure the connection is secure.
4. Position Main Unit: Attach the main unit to the side of the crib using the integrated hanger, ensuring it is firmly secured and out of the baby's reach. Alternatively, place it on a stable surface near the crib.

5. Power On: Plug the power adapter into the main unit and then into a wall outlet. The device will perform a self-test, indicated by flashing lights.
6. Initial Test: After powering on, place your hand on the mattress above the sensor mat and gently tap or press to simulate breathing movements. The green indicator light should illuminate, confirming detection.

5. Operating Instructions

The Nanny Monitor BM-02 is designed for simple operation. Once set up, it continuously monitors your baby's breathing movements.

Indicator Lights:

• Green Light (Smiling Face): Indicates normal breathing movements are detected. This light will flash with each detected movement.
• Orange Light (Neutral Face): May indicate a weak signal or a need to check the sensor mat placement. Refer to troubleshooting if this persists.
• Red Light (Sad Face) & Audible Alarm: Activates if no breathing movement is detected for 20 seconds. This is a critical warning.
• Battery Indicator (Bottom Icon): Illuminates or flashes to indicate low battery power. Replace batteries promptly if applicable, or ensure power adapter is connected.

Alarm Response:

If the red light and audible alarm activate:

1. Immediately check on your baby.
2. If the baby is unresponsive, follow your pediatrician's instructions for emergency situations.
3. If the baby is fine, check the sensor mat placement and ensure no external vibrations are interfering with the monitor.

Cleaning:

• Always disconnect the power adapter before cleaning.
• Wipe the main unit and sensor mat with a soft, damp cloth. You may use the provided antibacterial tissues.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals.
• Ensure the device is completely dry before reconnecting to power.

Battery Replacement:
