4. Setup Guide

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, ensure the camera's built-in battery is fully charged. Connect the camera to a power source using the provided USB cable. The solar panel will maintain the charge once installed in an area with sufficient sunlight.

4.2 SIM Card Activation

The camera comes with a built-in EIOTCLUB 4G LTE prepaid SIM card. This SIM card cannot be replaced. To activate, follow the instructions provided with the SIM card for the initial trial data. A monthly data plan is required for continued 4G cellular coverage after the trial period.

4.3 App Download and Connection

Download the UBOX app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android). Follow the in-app instructions to add your camera. This typically involves scanning a QR code displayed by the camera or manually entering its ID. Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is enabled during the initial pairing process.

4.4 Mounting Instructions

The camera can be wall-mounted. The package includes a solar panel bracket that supports separate installation of the solar panel and the security camera, allowing for optimal sun exposure for the panel while positioning the camera for the best view. Choose a location that provides clear line of sight and good 4G signal strength.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Dual Lens Functionality

The dual lens system provides both a fixed wide-angle view and a pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) view. The wide-angle lens (2.8mm) captures a broad overview, while the PTZ lens (6mm telephoto) allows for dynamic positioning (355° pan & 100° tilt) and closer inspection of specific areas. Both views are accessible simultaneously within the UBOX app.

5.2 Real-time Screen Linkage

The UBOX app allows for real-time screen linkage, displaying both camera feeds on a single screen. You can tap on the wide-angle view to activate the cooperative function, enabling the PTZ camera to automatically adjust its position to focus on the area of interest.

5.3 Night Vision Modes

The camera supports two night vision modes: IR LED Night Vision for clear black and white images in complete darkness, and Spotlight Colorful Night Vision, which activates built-in spotlights to provide full-color video even at night.

5.4 Two-Way Audio

Utilize the two-way audio feature to communicate with individuals near the camera. This is useful for greeting visitors, deterring intruders, or interacting with delivery personnel. Access this function directly from the live view in the UBOX app.

5.5 Motion Detection and Alerts

The camera's PIR detection system accurately identifies human figures, reducing false alarms. When motion is detected, the camera can trigger spotlights and sirens, and send instant push notifications or email alerts to your connected device.

5.6 Storage Options

Video recordings can be stored locally on a TF (microSD) card (up to 128GB, not included) or securely in the cloud. The UBOX app provides easy access to both storage options for reviewing footage.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Regularly clean the camera lenses and solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to ensure clear image quality and efficient solar charging. Avoid abrasive cleaners or materials that could scratch the surfaces.

6.2 Weather Resistance (IP66)

The XG06 camera is rated IP66 waterproof, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and powerful water jets. While designed for outdoor use in various weather conditions, avoid submerging the camera in water.

6.3 Battery Care

To maximize battery lifespan, ensure the solar panel receives adequate direct sunlight daily. In prolonged periods of low sunlight or heavy usage, the camera may require occasional manual charging via the USB port.
