3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charging

  1. Ensure the battery is at room temperature (20°C to 25°C / 68°F to 77°F) before charging.
  2. Connect the TB65 Intelligent Flight Battery to a compatible DJI battery charging station (sold separately).
  3. Plug the charging station into a power outlet.
  4. Monitor the charging indicator lights on the battery or charging station. The battery is fully charged when all indicator lights are solid green or as indicated by the charging station's display.

3.2 Battery Installation

  1. Ensure the Matrice 350 RTK drone is powered off.
  2. Locate the battery compartments on the drone.
  3. Align the TB65 battery with the compartment and gently slide it in until it clicks securely into place. Ensure both batteries (if using two) are properly seated.
  4. Verify that the battery release latches are fully engaged.

4. Operating the Battery

4.1 Checking Battery Level

To check the battery level, briefly press the power button on the battery. The LED indicators will illuminate to show the current charge level. Refer to the drone's flight controller or DJI Pilot app for a more precise battery percentage.

4.2 Powering On/Off

  • Power On: Press the power button once, then press and hold it for two seconds.
  • Power Off: Press the power button once, then press and hold it for two seconds.

4.3 Flight Considerations

  • Always ensure batteries are fully charged before each flight.
  • Monitor battery voltage and remaining capacity during flight using the drone's remote controller or app.
  • Avoid flying in extreme temperatures, as this can affect battery performance and lifespan.
  • Land the drone immediately if a low battery warning is issued.

5.1 Storage

  • Store the battery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • For long-term storage, discharge the battery to approximately 50-60% of its capacity. The intelligent battery will automatically discharge to this level if left unused for an extended period.
  • Avoid storing fully charged or fully discharged batteries for prolonged periods.

5.2 Cleaning

  • Clean the battery casing with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure battery terminals are clean and free of debris.

5.3 Battery Health

  • Regularly inspect the battery for any signs of damage, swelling, or leakage. Discontinue use immediately if any damage is observed.
  • Avoid puncturing or dropping the battery.
  • Follow recommended charging cycles and avoid overcharging or deep discharging.
