6. Installation Instructions
Follow these steps for a safe and proper installation:
- Turn Off Power: Before starting, ensure the power supply to the installation area is completely turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
- Cut Hole: Use the provided template to mark the desired location on the ceiling. Cut a 6-1/4 inch (158mm) diameter hole. Ensure there are no obstructions behind the ceiling.
- Connect Wires: Open the junction box. Connect the supply wires to the corresponding wires in the junction box using the provided push connectors: black to black (Line), white to white (Neutral), and green/bare copper to green (Ground). Ensure all connections are secure.
- Select Color Temperature (CCT): Locate the CCT selection switch inside the junction box. Choose your desired color temperature (2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, or 5000K) before closing the junction box.
- Secure Junction Box: Place the junction box through the cutout hole and secure it above the ceiling. The IC rating allows it to be in direct contact with insulation.
- Connect Light to Junction Box: Connect the male connector from the light fixture to the female connector from the junction box. Ensure a tight, water-resistant connection.
- Insert Light Fixture: Gently push the spring-loaded clips on the side of the light fixture upwards and insert the fixture into the ceiling cutout. The clips will spring back down to hold the fixture securely in place.
- Restore Power: Once the fixture is securely installed, restore power at the circuit breaker.
