4. Setup and Wiring

Before connecting, ensure the power supply is disconnected. Refer to the wiring diagram below for proper connections. This module is designed for DC motors and linear actuators.

  • Power Input: Connect your DC 8V-36V power supply to the terminals labeled DC-COM (Negative) and DC+ (Positive).
  • Motor Connection: Connect your DC motor to the terminals labeled M1 and M2. The polarity determines the direction of rotation.
  • External Button/Limit Switch Connections:
    • SW1 & SW2: These terminals are for connecting external limit switches (e.g., for counter-clockwise and clockwise limits).
    • K1 & K2: These terminals are for connecting external manual control buttons. K1 typically controls one direction (e.g., CW ON) and K2 controls the other (e.g., CCW ON).

Important: Always double-check your wiring before applying power to prevent damage to the module or connected devices. The maximum recommended motor load is 5A, even though the relay is rated for 10A.

5. Operating Instructions (Momentary Mode)

The default working mode for this device is Momentary. In this mode, the motor operates only while the remote button is pressed and held. Releasing the button stops the motor.

  • Forward/Up Movement: Press and hold the "Up" button on the transmitter. The motor will move in the forward direction. Release the button to stop the motor.
  • Reverse/Down Movement: Press and hold the "Down" button on the transmitter. The motor will move in the reverse direction. Release the button to stop the motor.

6. Learning and Clearing Remote Codes

The receiver needs to learn the codes from the remote transmitters to function. The learning button and indicator are located on the receiver board.

6.1. Learning Method (Momentary Mode)

  1. Press the learning button on the receiver once. The indicator light will flash once and then remain ON.
  2. On the transmitter, press the "Up" button. The learning indicator on the receiver will flash 3 times and then remain ON.
  3. On the transmitter, press the "Down" button. The learning indicator on the receiver will flash 3 times and then turn OFF.
  4. This indicates that the Momentary mode learning process has been successfully completed.

6.2. Clearing Method

To clear all learned transmitter codes from the receiver:

  1. Press the learning button on the receiver 3 times consecutively.
  2. The learning indicator will flash 5 times and then turn OFF.
  3. All previously stored transmitter codes in the receiver have now been cleared.

7. Manual Control (External Buttons)

The receiver also supports manual control via external buttons connected to the K1 and K2 terminals. This functionality operates in momentary mode by default, similar to the remote control.

  • K1 Button: Press and hold the external button connected to K1. The motor will move in one direction (e.g., forward). Release the button to stop the motor.
  • K2 Button: Press and hold the external button connected to K2. The motor will move in the opposite direction (e.g., reverse). Release the button to stop the motor.

Note: If travel switches are required for automatic stopping at limits, please use normally open (NO) type switches. The MD soldered dot on the receiver does not need to be connected for default momentary manual control.

8. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Receiver not responding to remote.Remote batteries are low or dead.
Remote not paired with receiver.
Out of range.
Replace remote batteries.
Perform the "Learning Method" (Section 6.1).
Move closer to the receiver.
Motor does not move.Incorrect wiring.
Power supply issue.
Motor load exceeds 5A.
Faulty motor.
Verify all connections according to Section 4.
Check power supply voltage and connection.
Reduce motor load or use a separate relay for higher loads.
Test motor independently.
Remote range is poor.Obstacles (walls, metal structures).
Interference from other devices.
Ensure clear line of sight if possible.
Relocate receiver or reduce interference sources.
Learning indicator does not respond.Learning button not pressed correctly.
Receiver not powered.
Press the learning button firmly and briefly.
Ensure DC power is supplied to the receiver.

9. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your fushionsea DC Motor Remote Control Switch, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Keep Dry: Protect the receiver module from moisture and water, as this can cause short circuits and damage.
  • Temperature: Operate and store the device within the specified temperature range (-40°C to +80°C). Avoid extreme heat or cold.
  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the receiver and remotes. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Remote Batteries: Replace the alkaline batteries in the remote transmitters when their performance degrades or they stop working.
  • Connections: Periodically check all wired connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
