Setup and Installation
Before beginning installation, ensure you have all components and tools as listed in the packaging. Verify that your monitor's size, weight, and VESA pattern (75x75mm or 100x100mm) are compatible with this mount.
Installation Options:
The ErGear Dual Monitor Desk Mount offers two primary installation methods:
- C-Clamp Installation:
This method is suitable for desks with an accessible edge. The C-clamp securely fastens the mount to the side of your desk. Ensure your desk thickness is between 0.39 and 2.56 inches (10-65mm).
- Attach the C-clamp base to the main pole.
- Position the mount on the desired desk edge.
- Tighten the C-clamp screw until the mount is firmly secured to the desk.
- Grommet Hole Installation:
This method is ideal for desks with an existing grommet hole or if you prefer a more permanent, through-desk mounting solution. Ensure your desk thickness is between 0.39 and 2.17 inches (10-55mm) and the grommet hole diameter is suitable.
- Insert the grommet bolt through the grommet hole in your desk.
- Attach the grommet base plate and tighten the nut from underneath the desk to secure the mount.

Attaching Monitors:
- Attach the VESA plate to the back of each monitor using the provided screws. Ensure the screws are appropriate for your monitor's VESA holes.
- Slide the monitor with the attached VESA plate onto the arm's VESA head. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
- Repeat for the second monitor.
Operating and Adjustments
The ErGear Dual Monitor Desk Mount offers extensive adjustability to achieve optimal viewing angles and ergonomic positioning. All adjustments are made possible by the integrated gas spring system.
Adjusting Gas Spring Tension:
The gas spring tension may need adjustment based on the weight of your monitors. If a monitor sags or is difficult to move, adjust the tension screw located on the arm joint. Use the included Allen key to turn the screw:
- Turn clockwise to increase tension (for heavier monitors or if the monitor sags).
- Turn counter-clockwise to decrease tension (for lighter monitors or if the monitor is too stiff to move down).
Adjust gradually until the monitor holds its position freely and can be moved with minimal effort.
Monitor Positioning:
- Swivel: The monitor arms can swivel +/-90° at the base and at the monitor attachment point, allowing you to easily share your screen or adjust its angle.
- Tilt: Adjust the monitor's vertical angle from +90° (upward) to -35° (downward) to reduce glare and find your preferred viewing angle.
- Rotation: Rotate your monitors 360° to switch between landscape and portrait orientations instantly.
- Height Adjustment: Lift or lower the monitor arms to position your screens up to 44.5 cm (17.5 inches) above the desk surface, aligning them with your eye level for ergonomic comfort.
- Extension: Extend or retract the arms to bring your monitors closer or push them further away, with an extension range of up to 39.4 cm (15.5 inches).

Cable Management:
Integrated cable management clips or channels are provided along the arms to keep your cables organized and out of sight, contributing to a tidy workspace.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ErGear Dual Monitor Desk Mount.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the mount with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
- Check Connections: Periodically check all screws and bolts, especially those securing the mount to the desk and the monitors to the VESA plates, to ensure they remain tight.
- Gas Spring Adjustment: Re-adjust the gas spring tension if you change monitors or notice any sagging or stiffness over time.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your monitor mount, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- Monitor Sags or Won't Stay Up:
This is typically due to insufficient gas spring tension for the monitor's weight. Use the included Allen key to turn the gas spring adjustment screw clockwise to increase tension until the monitor holds its position.
- Monitor is Too Stiff to Move Down:
The gas spring tension might be too high for a lighter monitor. Turn the gas spring adjustment screw counter-clockwise to decrease tension.
- Mount Feels Unstable on Desk:
Ensure the C-clamp or grommet bolt is fully tightened. Check that the desk surface is flat and sturdy enough to support the mount and monitors.
- Monitors Not Level:
Most VESA plates allow for minor rotational adjustments. Loosen the screws slightly on the VESA plate, level the monitor, and then re-tighten.
