2. Setup and Initial Use

2.1 Charging the Device

The detector is equipped with a 2000 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Before first use, ensure the device is fully charged. Connect the detector to a standard USB power source using the provided charging cable. The charging indicator on the device will show its status. A full charge provides up to 12 hours of standby time.

2.2 Powering On and Zero Adjustment

  1. Press and hold the power button to turn on the device.
  2. Allow the detector to warm up for a few moments. The device features instant preheating.
  3. The detector will perform an automatic zero adjustment in a clean air environment. Manual zero adjustment is also available if needed, as detailed in the operating instructions.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Gas Detection

The CHNADKS ADKS-1 can detect a wide range of combustible and flammable gases, including natural gas, methane, propane, ethanol, and LPG. The detection range is up to 10,000 ppm.

  • Flexible Gooseneck Probe: Utilize the 11-inch flexible gooseneck probe to reach confined or difficult-to-access areas where gas leaks might occur.
  • Response Time: The detector responds to combustible gas within 0.1 seconds.

3.2 Sensitivity Levels

The device offers two detection sensitivity levels:

  • High Sensitivity: 2000-10000 ppm
  • Low Sensitivity: 500-2000 ppm

  • Audible Alarm: A buzzer will sound.
  • Visual Alarm: A flashing light will activate.
  • Vibration Alarm: The device will vibrate.
