3. Getting Started (Setup)

3.1 Charging the Trimmer

Before first use, fully charge the trimmer for approximately 3 hours. A full charge provides up to 180 minutes of cordless operation.

1. Ensure the trimmer is switched off.
2. Connect the USB charging cable to the trimmer's charging port.
3. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer, power bank, 5V USB wall adapter, car charger).
4. The LED display will show the charging progress. When fully charged, the display will indicate 100%.

3.2 Attaching and Detaching Comb Guides

The trimmer comes with 8 comb attachments for various cutting lengths.

• To Attach: Align the comb guide with the trimmer blade and push it firmly until it clicks into place.
• To Detach: Gently pull the comb guide upwards from the trimmer blade.

4. Operation

4.1 Powering On/Off and Speed Adjustment

1. To Power On: Press the power button once. The LED display will light up, showing the current battery percentage and speed setting.
2. To Adjust Speed: Press the '+' or '-' buttons to cycle through the four speed settings (55 RPM, 60 RPM, 65 RPM, 70 RPM). Select the speed appropriate for your hair type and desired cut.
3. To Power Off: Press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the display turns off.

4.2 Using the Trimmer without Comb Guides

For very short cuts, precise edging, or detailing, the trimmer can be used without a comb attachment. The blade itself offers four precise cutting lengths:

• 1.0 mm
• 1.3 mm
• 1.6 mm
• 1.9 mm

To adjust these lengths, use the integrated adjustment lever on the side of the trimmer.

4.3 Using the Trimmer with Comb Guides

For longer hair cuts, attach the desired comb guide (3mm to 24mm) as described in Section 3.2.

1. Select the appropriate comb guide for your desired hair length.
2. Turn on the trimmer and select a suitable speed setting.
3. Hold the trimmer with the comb guide flat against the head or beard, and move it slowly against the direction of hair growth.
4. For an even cut, ensure consistent pressure and movement.

4.4 Wet and Dry Use

The BarberBoss QR-2083 is designed for both wet and dry use. You can use it on dry hair, or with shaving gel or foam for a more comfortable wet shave. Its waterproof design ensures safe operation in wet conditions.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure optimal performance and extend the life of your trimmer.

5.1 Cleaning the Blades

1. Ensure the trimmer is switched off and disconnected from the charging cable.
2. Remove any attached comb guide.
3. Use the provided cleaning brush to brush away loose hairs from the blades.
4. Since the trimmer is 100% waterproof, you can rinse the blade head directly under running water to remove stubborn hair and debris.
5. Shake off excess water and allow the blades to air dry completely before storing or reattaching a comb guide.

5.2 Lubricating the Blades

For best performance, it is recommended to lubricate the blades after every few uses, or if you notice the trimmer is pulling hair.

1. After cleaning and drying the blades, apply 1-2 drops of the provided lubricating oil onto the blades.
2. Turn on the trimmer for a few seconds to allow the oil to distribute evenly.
3. Wipe off any excess oil with a soft cloth.
