7. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your ThruNite Saber flashlight.

  • Cleaning: Clean the flashlight body with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Threads and O-rings: Periodically lubricate the threads and O-rings with silicone grease to maintain water resistance and smooth operation. Replace O-rings if they appear damaged or worn.
  • Battery Care: Remove batteries if the flashlight will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage. Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
  • Lens Care: Keep the lens clean and free from dust or debris. Use a lens cleaning cloth if necessary.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ThruNite Saber flashlight, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Flashlight does not turn on:
    • Ensure the battery is inserted correctly with the positive (+) end facing the head.
    • Check if the battery is charged. Replace with a fresh battery or recharge the ThruNite 14500 battery.
    • Ensure the tail cap is screwed on tightly. A loose tail cap can prevent electrical contact.
  • Light is dim or flickers:
    • The battery may be low. Replace or recharge the battery.
    • Clean the battery contacts in the flashlight and on the battery itself.
    • Ensure the tail cap is fully tightened.
  • Water ingress:
    • Ensure all O-rings are properly seated and not damaged.
    • Ensure the tail cap is screwed on tightly.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact ThruNite customer support for further assistance.

9. Safety Information

Please read and follow these safety guidelines to prevent injury or damage to your flashlight:

  • Do not shine the flashlight directly into eyes. The powerful beam can cause temporary vision impairment.
  • Keep the flashlight out of reach of children.
  • Do not disassemble the flashlight head or other sealed parts, as this may damage the flashlight and void the warranty.
  • Use only recommended batteries. Mixing battery types or using damaged batteries can be dangerous.
  • Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
  • Avoid exposing the flashlight to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
