5. Setup
5.1. Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment cover on the side of the main unit.
- Insert the 4 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

5.3. App Pairing (Bluetooth)
- Download the "beurer HealthManager Pro" app from your smartphone's app store (Apple Health, Samsung Health, Health Connect compatible).
- Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to pair your Beurer BM81 monitor. The Bluetooth indicator on the device will confirm a successful connection.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Applying the easyLock Cuff
- Ensure your arm is bare and relaxed.
- Slide your arm through the easyLock cuff. The cuff is designed for arm circumferences from 9.4 to 15.7 inches (24-40 cm).
- Position the cuff so the main unit is on the inside of your upper arm, with the artery mark aligned with your brachial artery.
- Push down on the central dial to engage the locking mechanism.
- Turn the dial clockwise to tighten the cuff until it feels snug but not uncomfortably tight.
- The cuff position indicator on the display will show "OK" when correctly positioned.

6.2. Taking a Measurement
- Sit comfortably with your back supported and feet flat on the floor. Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level.
- Press the Power button (ⓘ) to start the measurement.
- The cuff will automatically inflate using inflation technology, measuring during inflation for a faster and gentler process.
- Remain still and silent during the measurement.
- Once complete, your systolic and diastolic blood pressure, and pulse rate will be displayed. The risk indicator will show your reading's classification.
- The device also detects irregular heartbeat disturbances, indicated by a specific symbol on the display.
- To release the cuff, pull up on the central dial.
