3. Operating the Alpha 300i
3.1 Device Overview
The Alpha 300i features a vivid, sunlight-readable 3.5” capacitive touchscreen display and button-operated controls for quick adjustments. The user-replaceable battery provides up to 55 hours of operation, or up to 50 hours with inReach satellite technology enabled.

3.2 Dog Tracking and Training
The Alpha 300i allows you to set up and monitor up to 20 compatible dog collars from up to 9 miles away, with a 2.5-second update rate. The device supports 18 levels of stim, tone, or vibration when paired with a training-enabled collar.

3.3 inReach Satellite Technology
The inReach technology allows for interactive SOS alerts and two-way messaging via the 100% global Iridium satellite network. An active subscription is required for these features. Users are responsible for knowing and following all applicable laws regarding satellite communication devices in their jurisdiction.

3.4 Mapping and Navigation
The device comes with preloaded TopoActive maps and supports downloadable satellite imagery. It also offers features like Channel View to select less congested channels and Group Management to save time during hunts.

3.5 Connectivity
The Alpha 300i supports Multi-GNSS for reliable navigation and can be paired with the Garmin Explore smartphone app to review hunts and more. Optional inReach Weather reports are also available with an active subscription.
