5. Setup

5.1. Inserting the SIM Card

1. Carefully remove the back cover of the modem.
2. Locate the SIM card slot.
3. Insert your activated 3G/4G SIM card into the slot, ensuring proper orientation.
4. Replace the back cover securely.

5.2. Powering On the Device

1. Plug the USB modem into any powered USB port (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter, power bank).
2. The indicator light on the modem will begin to flash, indicating it is powered on and searching for a network.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Connecting to the Wi-Fi Hotspot

1. Once the modem is powered on and connected to the network (indicator light stable), open the Wi-Fi settings on your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop).
2. Search for available Wi-Fi networks. The default SSID (network name) and password can be found on the back of the modem (refer to Figure 4.3).
3. Select the modem's Wi-Fi network and enter the password to connect.
4. You can connect up to 10 devices simultaneously.

6.2. Using as a USB Modem

To use the device as a direct USB modem, simply plug it into your computer's USB port. The computer should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers. Once installed, you can access the internet directly through the USB connection.

• Ensure the USB port and SIM card slot are free from dust and debris.
• Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.

8. Troubleshooting

8.1. No Internet Connection

• Check SIM Card: Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted and activated with a data plan.
• Check Power: Verify the modem is properly powered via the USB port and the indicator light is on.
• Network Signal: Move to an area with better 3G/4G network coverage.
• Reboot: Unplug the modem, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in.

8.2. Cannot Find Wi-Fi Network (SSID)

• Power Cycle: Restart the modem by unplugging and re-plugging it.
• Device Proximity: Ensure your connecting device is within the Wi-Fi range of the modem.

8.3. Slow Internet Speed

• Signal Strength: Check the signal strength indicator on the modem or your connected device. A weak signal will result in slower speeds.
• Connected Devices: Too many devices connected simultaneously can reduce speed. Disconnect unnecessary devices.
