This fixture features a matte brass finish and a tiered white milk glass shade, offering a sophisticated aesthetic. Its flush mount design is suitable for rooms with standard or lower ceilings, making it an ideal choice for bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways, and entryways. The light is compatible with two E12 base 40W bulbs (sold separately) and supports dimming with a compatible dimmer switch (also sold separately).

Setup and Installation

• Phillips Head Screwdriver
• Wire Strippers
• Electrical Tape (optional)

Installation Steps:

1. Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the light fixture's circuit and turn it off. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
2. Prepare Mounting Surface: If replacing an existing fixture, carefully remove it. Ensure the junction box is securely mounted and capable of supporting the fixture's weight.
3. Attach Mounting Bracket: Secure the provided mounting bracket to the junction box using the screws provided. Ensure the bracket is flush and stable.
4. Make Electrical Connections:
   • Connect the fixture's black wire (live) to the black wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
   • Connect the fixture's white wire (neutral) to the white wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
   • Connect the fixture's ground wire (bare copper or green) to the ground wire from the junction box (or to the green ground screw on the mounting bracket).
   • Ensure all connections are tight and secure. Wrap wire nuts with electrical tape for added security if desired.
5. Mount the Fixture: Carefully tuck all wires into the junction box. Align the fixture with the mounting bracket and secure it using the provided screws.
6. Install Glass Shade: Gently attach the tiered white milk glass shade to the fixture according to the specific instructions in the included sheet. Ensure it is securely fastened.
7. Install Bulbs: Screw two E12 base 40W max bulbs (sold separately) into the sockets.
8. Restore Power: Turn the main power supply back on at the circuit breaker. Test the light fixture.

Operating Instructions

The GLOBE Electric Devo 2-Light Flush Mount Ceiling Light operates via a standard wall switch. For dimming functionality, ensure a compatible dimmer switch is installed.

• Turning On/Off: Use the wall switch connected to the fixture to turn the light on or off.
• Dimming (Optional): If a compatible dimmer switch is installed, adjust the dimmer control to achieve the desired light intensity. Ensure that the E12 bulbs used are also dimmable.

Maintenance

• Cleaning:

  Before cleaning, ensure the power to the fixture is turned off at the circuit breaker. Wipe the metal parts with a soft, dry cloth. For the glass shade, use a soft, damp cloth with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner if necessary, then dry thoroughly. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners as they may damage the finish or glass.

• Bulb Replacement:

  Turn off the power at the circuit breaker. Allow bulbs to cool completely before touching. Carefully unscrew the old E12 bulbs and screw in new E12 base 40W max bulbs. Do not overtighten. Restore power after replacement.
• Inspection:

  Periodically inspect the fixture for any loose wires, damaged components, or signs of wear. If any issues are found, turn off power and consult a qualified electrician.
