Model: I706-3-P-SD

Product Overview

The REVODATA 5MP POE IP Mini Camera (Model I706-3-P-SD) is a compact surveillance solution featuring UltraHD 5MP (2880x1620P) resolution at 20 frames per second, ensuring clear and smooth video capture. It is equipped with a 1.7mm fisheye lens offering a wide 170-180 degree field of view, ideal for covering large areas with a single camera. This camera supports Power Over Ethernet (POE) for simplified installation, reducing cable clutter, but also includes an auxiliary power connector for traditional 12V 2A power supply. Video recordings can be stored on a micro SD card (up to 256GB, not included), NVR, or computer. The camera utilizes H.265 encoding for efficient bandwidth and storage usage and offers good compatibility with most NVR systems on the market. Smartphone and Windows PC applications are available for monitoring and configuration.

Setup Guide

Physical Connection

The camera supports Power Over Ethernet (PoE) via its RJ45 port, allowing both power and data transmission through a single Ethernet cable when connected to a PoE-enabled switch or NVR. Alternatively, it can be powered by a conventional 12V 2A power supply using the auxiliary power connector. Ensure all connections are secure.

Connecting to Browser

To access the camera's interface via a web browser, connect the camera to your network. The camera typically has a default static IP address (e.g., 192.168.0.108). You may need to temporarily adjust your computer's IP settings to be in the same subnet as the camera for initial access. Open a web browser and enter the camera's IP address. The default username is admin and the default password is admin123. It is highly recommended to change the default password immediately after the first login for security purposes. The browser interface allows for live preview, playback, configuration, and alarm settings.

Connecting to Smartphone (TSEye App)

Download the "TSEye" app from your smartphone's app store. Once installed, open the app and follow the prompts to add your camera. You can search for local devices on your network or manually add the camera using its serial number or IP/domain. After adding, you will be able to view live feeds, access playback, and configure settings directly from your smartphone. Remember to change the default password for enhanced security.

Connecting to NVR

For NVR integration, ensure your NVR supports 5MP resolution. The camera can be found and connected via Onvif protocol. If your NVR does not support 5MP, you may need to lower the camera's resolution settings through the browser interface to match your NVR's capabilities. Refer to your NVR's manual for specific steps on adding IP cameras.

Operating Instructions

Live View and Playback

Once connected, you can access the live video feed through the web browser interface, the TSEye smartphone app, or your NVR system. The interfaces typically provide options for viewing live streams, accessing recorded footage (playback), and taking screenshots. Ensure your storage method (SD card, NVR, or computer) is properly configured for recording.

Motion Detection and Alarms

The camera supports motion detection. You can configure alarm settings through the web interface to trigger recordings or notifications upon detecting movement. Some advanced settings may include human detection. Ensure these features are enabled and configured according to your surveillance needs.

H.265 Encoding

The camera utilizes H.265 video encoding, which is more efficient than older H.264 standards. This means it requires less bandwidth for streaming and less storage space for recordings while maintaining the same video quality. This optimization helps in saving network resources and disk space.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the lens or finish.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the manufacturer's website for firmware updates. Keeping the firmware updated ensures optimal performance, security, and access to new features.
  • Environmental Conditions: Ensure the camera is operated within its specified temperature range (up to 60°C). While the camera is designed for indoor use, protect it from excessive moisture, direct sunlight, and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

IssuePossible CauseSolution
Camera not powering on.No power supply, or incorrect power supply.Ensure PoE is active on the network port or connect a 12V 2A power adapter (not included). Verify power source is functional.
Cannot access camera via browser.Incorrect IP address, network configuration issues, or default password not changed.Verify camera's IP address. Ensure your computer is on the same subnet for initial setup. Use default credentials (admin/admin123) if not changed. Check network cable connection.
Poor image quality.Lens obstruction, incorrect resolution settings, or network bandwidth issues.Clean the lens. Check resolution settings in the camera's configuration. Ensure sufficient network bandwidth.
NVR not detecting camera.NVR does not support 5MP, or Onvif not enabled/configured.Verify NVR's maximum supported resolution. If lower than 5MP, reduce camera resolution via browser. Ensure Onvif is enabled on both camera and NVR.
SD card not recording.SD card not inserted, not formatted, or full.Ensure SD card is properly inserted. Format the SD card via the camera's web interface. Check available storage space.
