Setup
1. Pre-Installation Checklist
- Ensure the camera battery is fully charged before installation.
- Verify Wi-Fi signal strength at the desired installation location is above 85%.
- Download the "Boifun Cam" or "ieGeek Cam" app from your smartphone's app store and register an account.
- Allow the app to send notifications and access necessary permissions (e.g., location, camera, local network).
2. Physical Installation
The camera can be installed on a wall or ceiling. The solar panel can be attached directly to the camera or separated for optimal sun exposure.
- Choose an installation location for the camera and solar panel. For optimal solar charging, select a spot with abundant direct sunlight.
- Use the positioning sticker to mark the drill holes.
- Drill holes at the marked positions. For concrete walls or ceilings, insert anchor bolts.
- Secure the camera mounting bracket to the wall/ceiling using screws.
- Attach the camera to the mounting bracket by sliding it into place.
- If using the separate solar panel setup, secure the solar panel bracket to a sunny location using screws. Connect the solar panel to the camera using the provided USB-C cable, ensuring the cable is correctly inserted to prevent water ingress.

3. Wi-Fi Connection
- Power on the camera by long-pressing the power button until a beep sound is heard, indicating the camera is open. The red light will flash slowly.
- If the camera has been previously set up, reset it by long-pressing the reset button for 5 seconds until a beep sound is heard. The red light will flash slowly.
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to add the camera.
- Select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. (5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported).
- Scan the QR code displayed on your smartphone screen with the camera lens (hold 15-25cm away). A beep sound confirms successful scanning.
- Wait for the camera to connect to the network. A blue light indicates a successful connection.

1. Camera Features
- High Resolution & Wide Angle: 3MP (2048x1536) resolution with a 130° wide-angle view. WDR technology ensures clear images in varying light conditions.
- PTZ Control: Remotely pan 355° horizontally and tilt 120° vertically via the app to monitor a wide area. Supports 4x digital zoom.
- Night Vision: Choose between energy-saving infrared (black and white, up to 15m) or vivid color night vision (up to 12m).
- Two-Way Audio: Communicate in real-time through the camera using the app's talk button.
- Smart Detection: Detects human and general motion. Adjustable sensitivity, customizable detection areas, and time settings are available. An optional paid plan offers advanced classification for packages, pets, and vehicles.
- Sound & Light Alarm: Automatically activates a siren and flashing lights upon detecting abnormal activity to deter intruders. This feature can be disabled.
- Multi-Device Viewing: View up to 9 camera feeds simultaneously using the 4-screen or 9-screen split view in the app.

Maintenance
1. Battery Management

2. Weather Protection

Troubleshooting
- Wi-Fi Connection Issues: Ensure your Wi-Fi signal strength is above 85% at the camera's location. The camera only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. If the camera is too far from the signal source, the initial connection may fail.
- Recording Limitations: Due to solar power, 24-hour continuous recording is not supported. Recording is triggered only by motion detection.
- Solar Panel Efficiency: For optimal charging, install the solar panel in a location with abundant direct sunlight. In Japan, a south-facing angle of approximately 40° is ideal. Avoid vertical installation.
