4. Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your Dexnor case.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior of the case. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the material.
  • Screen Protector Care: For the built-in screen protector, use a microfiber cloth to gently wipe away fingerprints and smudges. If necessary, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen-safe cleaning solution.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the case for any signs of wear or damage, especially after drops. Ensure all parts are securely fitted.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the case in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Screen Protector Sensitivity Issues

If you experience reduced touch sensitivity or S Pen drag with the built-in screen protector:

  • Re-installation: Remove the tablet from the case and re-install it, ensuring no dust particles are trapped between the screen and the protector. Press firmly around the edges to ensure a tight seal.
  • Clean Screen: Ensure both your tablet's screen and the inside of the screen protector are thoroughly clean before re-installation.
  • S Pen Drag: Some users may find the integrated plastic screen protector creates drag for the S Pen. If this significantly impacts your usage, consider using a separate tempered glass screen protector directly on your tablet and removing the plastic screen protector from the case's front frame.

5.2 Case Not Fitting Properly

If the case does not seem to fit your tablet correctly:

  • Verify Model: Double-check that your tablet is indeed a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 (2022) or S7 (2020) 11-inch model. Refer to Section 2.1 for compatibility details.
  • Check for Obstructions: Ensure there are no foreign objects or other screen protectors on your tablet that might prevent the case from closing properly.
  • Reassemble Carefully: Follow the installation steps in Section 2.2-2.4 precisely, ensuring all clips engage and the case is fully sealed around the tablet.

5.3 Kickstand Instability

If the kickstand feels loose or unstable:

  • Ensure Full Extension: Make sure the kickstand is fully extended and locked into its open position.
  • Flat Surface: Use the kickstand on a flat, stable surface.
  • Inspect for Damage: Check the kickstand mechanism for any visible damage or wear.
