Operating Modes

The SIMOLIO JH-202D offers three distinct operating modes, selectable via the switch on the side of the device:

  • TX&Bypass Mode (Transmitter + Bypass): In this mode, the device acts as a Bluetooth transmitter, sending audio to your headphones, while simultaneously passing through the original audio signal to a wired soundbar or stereo system. This allows others to listen to the TV through speakers while you use headphones.
  • Bypass Mode (Bypass Only): This mode allows the audio signal to pass directly through the device to a wired soundbar or stereo system without Bluetooth transmission. Useful when you only want to use your wired speakers.
  • RX Mode (Receiver): In this mode, the device acts as a Bluetooth receiver. You can stream audio wirelessly from your smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled devices to your home stereo system or powered speakers.

  3. Enter Pairing Mode (Receiver): Press and hold the "PAIR" button on the receiver until the Bluetooth LED flashes blue and red alternately.
  4. Connect to Audio System: Connect the receiver to your home stereo system or powered speakers using either the optical, 3.5mm AUX, or RCA audio cables. Ensure the input/output types match (e.g., Optical to Optical, AUX to AUX).
  5. Pair with Phone/Tablet: On your smartphone or tablet, enable Bluetooth and search for "SIMOLIO 202". Select it to pair. Once connected, the receiver's Bluetooth LED will turn solid blue.

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your SIMOLIO Bluetooth Transmitter Receiver, please follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Keep the device clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and humidity.
  • Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts, as this can damage internal components.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself. Refer to qualified service personnel for any repairs.
  • Ensure proper ventilation around the device during operation to prevent overheating.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your SIMOLIO Bluetooth Transmitter Receiver, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • No Sound/No Connection:
    • Ensure the device is properly powered on and the correct mode (TX or RX) is selected.
    • Verify that the audio cables are securely connected to both the SIMOLIO device and your audio source/output device.
    • Check your TV's audio output settings (for TX mode) to ensure it's set to the correct external output (Optical, Headset, External Speaker) and digital audio format (PCM).
    • Confirm that your Bluetooth headphones/speakers are in pairing mode and within range.
    • Try restarting both the SIMOLIO device and your connected Bluetooth device.
  • Audio Delay (Lip Sync Issues):
    • Ensure your headphones/speakers support aptX Low Latency (aptX LL) for minimal delay in TX mode. If not, some delay may be unavoidable.
    • Check your TV's audio delay settings (if available) and adjust them.
  • Short Range/Interference:
    • The device has an extended range (up to 230ft outdoors, 100ft indoors).
    • Range can be affected by Wi-Fi routers, cordless phones, walls, and other sources of interference. Try moving the device or reducing obstacles.
    • Ensure the external antennas are properly oriented for optimal reception.
  • Unable to Pair Second Headphone:
    • Ensure the transmitter is in pairing mode (flashing blue and red) when attempting to connect the second headphone.
    • Verify the second headphone is in its own pairing mode.

If these steps do not resolve your issue, please refer to the "Support" section for further assistance.
