Introduction
The Duraflame Firestart Quick Ignition Logs are designed to simplify the process of starting fires in various indoor and outdoor settings. Each fire starter is individually wrapped for convenience and water resistance.
Safety Information
- Read all instructions before use.
- For use with wood fires only. Do not use with gas logs or other non-wood burning appliances.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets. Store in a cool, dry place away from heat sources and open flames.
- Never leave a burning fire unattended. Ensure the fire is completely extinguished before leaving the area.
- Use in well-ventilated areas. Ensure proper ventilation when using indoors in fireplaces.
- Do not use flammable liquids to start or rekindle a fire.
- Dispose of ashes properly after they have completely cooled.
Setup
Before lighting, ensure your fireplace, fire pit, or BBQ is clean and free of excessive ash. Arrange your wood in a stable configuration that allows for good airflow. For best results, use dry, seasoned wood.

Place one individually wrapped Duraflame Firestart log directly under the kindling or smaller pieces of wood in your fire setup. Ensure the wrapper remains intact, as it is designed to ignite along with the fire starter.
Operating Instructions
- Position the Fire Starter: Place one Duraflame Firestart log, still in its wrapper, beneath your arranged wood.
- Ignite the Wrapper: Using a long-stemmed lighter or match, light the wrapper of the Duraflame Firestart log. The wrapper is designed for easy ignition.
- Allow to Burn: The fire starter will produce a consistent, long-lasting flame, which will ignite the surrounding kindling and larger logs.
- Monitor the Fire: Once the fire is established, monitor it closely. Add more wood as needed to maintain the desired flame.

Maintenance
Duraflame Firestart logs require minimal maintenance. Store them in their original packaging in a dry environment to preserve their water-resistant properties. Avoid exposing them to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
Troubleshooting
- Difficulty Igniting: Ensure the fire starter is placed directly in contact with easily combustible kindling. If the wood is damp, use additional kindling or ensure the fire starter is fully exposed to the flame.
- Fire Not Sustaining: Check that there is adequate airflow around your wood stack. Ensure the wood is dry and properly seasoned.
