2. Setup and Installation
2.1 Before You Begin
Ensure you have all necessary parts and tools before starting installation. A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) 120V outlet is required within reach of the bidet seat's 3-foot power cord. Professional electrical installation may be necessary if an appropriate outlet is not available.

- Install Mounting Bracket: Place the WASHLET mounting bracket over the toilet's mounting holes. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to tighten the screws just enough to allow slight movement for adjustment.
- Attach WASHLET Seat: Slide the WASHLET seat onto the mounting bracket until it clicks into place. Adjust the seat and bracket front-to-back and side-to-side to center it over the toilet rim.
- Secure Bracket: Release the WASHLET seat from the bracket (usually by pressing a quick-release button), then fully tighten the bracket screws. Re-attach the WASHLET seat.
- Shut Off Water Supply: Turn off the water supply valve to your toilet. Flush the toilet to relieve pressure and drain the tank.
- Disconnect Supply Tube: Disconnect the existing water supply tube from the toilet's fill valve.
- Install Tee Connector: Screw the WASHLET tee connector onto the toilet's fill valve. Hand-tighten only; do not overtighten.
- Connect Water Lines: Connect one end of the white WASHLET supply line (pre-attached to the WASHLET) to the tee connector. The other end of the supply line, with a grey plastic tip and O-ring, pushes into the threaded part of the tee connector. Hand-tighten the white plastic nut.
- Restore Water and Power: Turn the water supply back on and check for leaks. Plug the WASHLET into the GFCI outlet and turn it on using the button on the left side of the unit. The LED lights on the rear of the seat will illuminate.

- Wand Not Extending: The WASHLET features a seat sensor. The wand will only extend and spray when someone is seated. To test the spray function, press down on the rear left side of the seat with your hand, then activate the spray. Use your other hand to block the spray from the wand to avoid getting wet.
