Setup
Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the parent unit for approximately 7-8 hours. Connect the AC adapter to the parent unit and a power outlet. The battery indicator on the screen will show the charging status.
Camera Placement
Position the baby camera(s) in a location that provides a clear, unobstructed view of your baby's crib or play area. Ensure the camera is placed at least 3 feet (1 meter) away from the baby to prevent any cord entanglement. The cameras can be placed on a tabletop, mounted on a wall, or attached to a crib using the provided mounting screws.

Pairing Cameras
The cameras included in your HB6550-2 system are pre-connected to the parent unit for your convenience. If you purchase additional cameras (up to 4 total) or need to re-pair a camera, refer to the "Add Camera" section in the monitor's menu settings.
Antenna Extension
For optimal signal strength and maximum range, especially in larger indoor spaces or outdoors, ensure the antenna on both the parent unit and baby camera(s) is fully extended.
Operating Instructions
Parent Unit Overview
The 5-inch LCD screen provides a clear view of your baby. Use the navigation buttons on the side of the parent unit to access menu options and control various camera functions.
Remote Pan, Tilt, and Zoom (PTZ)
Use the directional buttons on the parent unit to remotely pan the camera up to 355 degrees horizontally and tilt up to 120 degrees vertically, allowing you to view the entire room. The 2x digital zoom feature enables you to get a closer look at your baby.

VOX Mode (Sound Detection)
The VOX (Voice Operated eXchange) mode is an energy-saving feature that turns off the screen and mutes sound when no noise is detected. The display will automatically turn back on when sound is picked up, such as your baby crying. You can adjust the sensitivity level of the VOX mode in the settings menu.

Two-Way Talk
To speak to your baby, press and hold the microphone button on the parent unit. Your voice will be transmitted through the camera's speaker. Release the button to hear your baby's sounds.
Night Vision
The camera automatically activates infrared night vision in low-light conditions, providing a clear black and white image of your baby without disturbing their sleep. This ensures continuous monitoring even in complete darkness.

Lullabies
The monitor includes 8 built-in lullabies to help soothe your baby to sleep. You can select and play these melodies through the parent unit's menu.
Temperature Monitoring
The baby camera features a temperature sensor that displays the room temperature on the parent unit. You can set alerts for specific temperature ranges to ensure your baby's comfort and safety.
Multi-Camera View
With two cameras included, the system allows for automatic or manual switching between camera views on the single 5-inch screen. This provides a comprehensive view of different areas without the need for a split-screen, ensuring you don't miss any sounds from either camera.

Battery Life and Range
The parent unit offers an impressive battery life of up to 26 hours in ECO (VOX) mode and up to 11 hours of continuous video streaming. The monitor provides a long range of up to 1000ft in open outdoor areas, allowing you to stay connected throughout your home.

Maintenance
- Keep the monitor and cameras clean by wiping with a dry, soft cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the units.
- Ensure proper ventilation around the units to prevent overheating.
- Store the monitor and cameras in a dry place when not in use.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| No picture/sound | Ensure both units are powered on and within range. Check the battery level of the parent unit. Re-pair the camera if necessary. |
| Static or interference | Move the parent unit closer to the camera. Avoid placing units near other electronic devices (e.g., microwaves, Wi-Fi routers). Ensure the antenna is fully extended. |
| VOX mode not activating | Adjust the VOX sensitivity settings on the parent unit to a higher level. |
| Poor range | Ensure the antenna is fully extended on both units. Obstacles like thick walls or multiple floors can significantly reduce range. Test in an open area to confirm maximum range. |
| Battery not holding charge | Ensure proper charging using the provided AC adapter. Battery capacity naturally decreases over time with regular use. |
